Know all men by these presents that Henry Skillicorn of Ballaragh in the
parish of KK lonan together with joint consent of Margret Skillicorn alias
Quayle my wife Divers good causes and reasens us hereunto moving but
chiefly and more especially for the good will and affection we have and do
bear unto the persons hereafter mentioned and moreover as my said Wife
Margret Skillicorn having reserved from our son and Heir at Law John
Skillicorn a part or parcel of the aforesaid Quarterland of Ballaragh being
the one half or moiety or her part or share being purchased land to her own
proper use therefore be in know to all present that I the said Margret
Skillicorn Have therefore given granted Bargained passed over and setled
and by these presents do give grant Bargain and settle from me my Exrs
Admrs and Assigns unto him the said John Skillicorn during his natural Life
and after his the said John Skillicorn Decease my part of share of the
aforesaid purchased Land together with my part of the mansion House and out
offices Erected on the same to go to him the said John Skillicorn our son
his Heirs Exrs Admrs and Assigns unto him my grandson John Fargher son of
John Fargher of Glenmooar in the parish aforesaid his Heirs Exrs, Admrs and
Assigns absolutely and forever.
Likewise We the said Henry Skillicorn and Margret Skillicorn do absolutely
and forever settle from us our Heirs and Assigns unto him the said John
Fargher Junior his Heirs Exrs, Admrs and Assigns a Mansion House and out
House and Garden situate on the Road Leading from Laxey to Ramsey, in the
parish aforesd commonly called the slate House immediately on the Deacease
of our aforesaid son John Skillicorn
Likewise we bind our Exrs or Admrs that they shall have no power to raise
exact or presecute (?) our aforesaid son John Skillicorn for sixty pounds
British he had granted to us on the accout of a former Deed of Settlement
provided nevertheless that theaid John Skillicorn Do Leave or give up All
and singular his right and title of the aforesd Quarterland of Ballaragh
and all other right and titles received from us the said Henry Skillicorn
and Margret Skillicorn to our aforesd grandson John Fargher his Heirs Exors
Admrs and Assigns absolutely and forever.
Likewise we give unto our said son John Skillicorn after our Decease Twenty
pounds British.
Likewise we give unto our aforesd grandson John Fargher Thirty pounds British
also we Leave Twenty pounds British to our grandson James Fargher son of
the aforesaid John Fargher Senr
also we Leave unto our Grandson Joseph Fargher son of the aforesd John
Fargher Ten pounds British
also we Leave to our Grand Daughter Jane Fargher Daughter to the sd John
Fargher Ten pounds British and our share of the Clock
also we Leave to our grand Daughter Margret Fargher Daughter to sd John
Fargher Ten pounds British and our best Chest
Also we Leave to our Grand Daughter Eleanor Fargher Daughter to sd John
Fargher Ten pounds British and the second best Chest
Likewise we Leave to John Skillicorn Illigitimate son to our said son John
Skillicorn Two pounds British
also we Leave Five p;ound British to the poor of the Abby Quarter of said
parish
        Likewise we nomiminate and appoint our Dutiful Daughter Jane wife of the
said John Fargher Senr whole and sole Executrix of all the rest of our
goods movable and immovable of whatever nature and Denomination soever
All the foregoing Legacies to be paid by our Executrix before mentioned
after the Decease of us the Longest Liver Henry Skillicorn and Margret
Skillicorn as witness our names hereunto Subscribed this the 21st Day of
November 1834

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas 23d October 1835—
Henry Skillicorn one of the testators having departed this life — John
Fargher husband of the Executrix named in the beforegoing joint Will is
sworn Exor in trust in form of law and hath given Pledges for the payment
of Debts and Legacies namely the Witnesses to the Will
                                        Probatum est
