In the name of God Amen.
I Susanna Gawne late of the Rowaney in the parish of KK Christ Rushen in the
Isle of Man but now of the Borrough of Liverpool in the County of
Lancastershire of the Kingdom of Great Britain being weak in body but of
sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament
in form and manner as follows viz:
First I commit my soul to Almighty God who gave it and my body to Christian
burial.
Item I leave and bequeath to my son William Gawne the sum of five
shillings.
Item I leave and bequeath to my son Henry Gawne the sum of eight
pounds.
Item I leave and bequeath to my daughter Susannah now the wife of
William Archer the sum of five shillings.
Lastly I appoint my son Thomas Gawne whole and sole executor and residuary
legatee of all the rest residue and remainder of all my goods money chattels
and effect of all and every kind whatsoever or wheresoever to me the said
Susannah Gawne belonging excluding and debarring all persons claiming my
property with two shillings and six
pence legacy.
As witness my subscription this 31st May 1837.

At a Court holden at Douglas the 23d June 1837.  The executor is sworn
in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and
legacies namely John Clucas and Wm Kelly for the sum of two
hundred pounds British.        Probatums est      F. B. Hartwell
