The last will and testament of Ann Lace alias Radcliffe, widow of Charles Lace of 
Ballaseyr in the parish of Andreas deceased being at the making hereof weak in 
body but of sound mind, memory and understanding.	
	
In the name of God Amen-------
I Ann Lace above mentioned commit my soul to God and my body 
to decent Christian burial.

Item:   I leave and bequeath to my four granddaughters namely Ann 
Christian, Isabella Christian,  Esther Christian and Mary Christian the sum of ten 
pounds British each as legacy to be paid to them after my decease by my exec 
hereinafter named.
Item:  I leave and bequeath to my daughter-in-law Ann Lace widow of 
my son Charles Lace deceased the sum of ten shillings British.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto my two granddaughters namely Ann and 
Elizabeth Lace daughters of the before mentioned Charles and Ann Lace the sum 
of ten shillings British each as legacy.
Item: I leave unto my great grandson Robert son of Lace Christian ten 
shillings British as legacy.
Item:  I leave unto Mary Ann daughter of my grandson John Christian 
ten shillings British.
Item:  I leave unto Ann Jane, daughter of my grandson Robert Christian 
ten shillings British.
Item:  I leave unto Margery Christian, Judith Cain, and Jane Tear my three 
nieces being daughters of my brother William Radcliffe late clerk of Andreas 
deceased the sum of ten shillings British each as legacy.
Item:  I leave unto any person who may claim any right in this my last will 
and testament and attempt by law to break the same the sum of one shilling.
Lastly: I nominate, constitute and appoint my beloved daughter Isabella 
Christian wife of Robert Christian of Andreas with whom I now live whole and 
sole executor of this my last will and testament and residuary legatee of all the 
rest of my goods, chattels, and effects of what kind or denomination so ever.  
Witness my subscription this 26th day of Oct 1838.

			At a chapter Court holden in Ramsey on the 23rd day of Nov 1838
Robert Christian husband of Isabella Christian named executrix in the 
foregoing will is sworn executor in Court in form of law well and truly to execute 
the last will and testament of Ann Lace deceased to pay all her just debts and 
legacies so far as the goods and effects of the decedent will extend and the law 
bind him, and to do all other acts and deeds pertaining to the office of executor 
according to law and to these ends he has given Pledges namely Casar Teare one 
of the witnesses of the will and William Radcliffe of Andreas.
