In the name of God Amen
I Ann Kewley wife of James Kewley of Baldooin in the parish of KK Lonan
being weak and sick in body knowing the uncertainty of this transitory Life
and the certainty of Death being of sound Disposing mind and memory do make
this my Last will and Testament
First I commit my soul to god who gave it and my Body to a Christian Burial
and as to my worldly Effects I Dispose of in manner following
I Leave and Bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth wife of William Bruce five
shillings
Item I Leave unto my Son John Kewley four pounds
Item I Leave to my Daughter Ann Kewley fifty pounds and a Bed
Item I Leave unto my son Phillip Kewley forty pounds
Item I Leave unto my grand Daughter Margret Bruce a bed to be possessed by
her after the Age of twenty years
I Leave six pence Legacy to any person or persons that my claim in this my
will
Lastly I revoking all other wills heretofore all words or Intentions
uttered Declaring this to be my Last will and testament and nominating and
appointing my Dearly Beloved Husband James Kewley whole and sole Executor
of all the rest of my goods and chattles movable and Immovable of whatever
nature and Denomination soever together with my part or share of the Land
we purchased of James Skillicorn and my part of share of the house in Douglas
as witness my name hereunto subscribed this the 7th Day of December 1837

At a Chapter Court holden in Douglas on the 22nd day of May 1838
 James Kewley the Exor in the foregoing Will named is sworn in Court in
form of Law well and truly to execute the last Will and Testament of Anne
Kewley deceased to pay all her just Debts Legacies and funeral expenses so
far as the goods and effects of the deceadent will extend and the Law bind
him and to do all other acts and deeds pertaining to the Office of Exor
according to Law And to these ends he has given pledges namely James
Skillicorn and James Cowin both of Lonan
