In the name of God Amen
I Andrew Joughin of the parish of Jurby (schoolmaster) being now
advanced in years (being in the seventy seventh year of my age) but by the
blessing of God of a sound disposing mind memory and understanding do make
publish and declare this my last will and testament as follow:
First I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping for
pardon and remission of all my sins through the merits and mediation of our
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my body to the earth to be
buried in a decent Christian burial.
Also I leave and bequeath unto my son John Nelson Joughin the sum of
five pounds British.
I leave and bequeath unto the children of my son William Joughin
(deceased) the sum of five shillings British each.
I leave bequeath and devise unto my son Andrew Joughin all and singular
my whole rights, title, property and interest of in and unto a certain
parcel of intack land situate in the said parish commonly called by the name
of Curragh Beg to be possessed by him at or upon my decease. Lastly I
nominate constitute and appoint my said son Andrew Joughin
sole exeuctor of this my last will and testament and residuary legatee
of all the rest of my goods, cash, credits, and effects of what soever
nature and denomination.
In testimony whereof I have subscribed my name hereunto set this 30th day of
August 1836.

Signed published and declared by the testator as and for his last will and
testament in our presence who at his request subscribed our names as
witnesses
