The humble petition of William
Cubbon of the parish of Braddan

Sheweth
That Robt Creer of Ballavean
in the parish of Braddan
some time ago departed this
life having first duly made
his will whereof he appointed
your petitioner executor
Wherefore your petitioner
prays a hearing of this
petition and that your 
Reverend may be pleased
to grant probate of the
said will to petitioner
who will pray & c
Ordered that this petition do
come on to be heard at a Court
to be holden at Douglas on Friday
next whereof all proper parties to
have notice
Given this 15th day of Dec ??

I Robert Creer of the parish of
Braddan now living at Beal e vean
in that parish being desirous of
disposing by last will and testament
of all my goods and effects, do make
publish and declare this paper writing
to be my last will and testament
hereby revoking and making void
all and every other will or wills by
me at any time heretofore made.
After the payment of all my just
debts and funeral expenses I give
devise and bequeath all my estate
of every kind and description whatsoever
whether real or personal to my nephew
William Cubbon of Sea View in the
said parish of Braddan subject
however to the conditions, uses and
trusts hereinafter provided and 
contained, that is to say first
In trust that he the said William
Cubbon shall from my personal estate
pay all my debts justly due by me
and my funeral expenses expecting
to be buried in a decent manner
and shall reimburse himself for
the trouth and expense attending
the probate of this my will and
in executing the various trusts herein
contained. Secondly that after
deducting the foregoing payments
and a legacy of one shilling to each
and every person having a right to
claim an interest in this my will
which I hereby bequeath to such
that he the said William Cubbon
shall pay over to my brother Thomas
Creer the one third part of the 
net proceeds of my estate.
Thirdly in trust the he the said 
William Cubbon shall pay over to 
my niece Margaret Quayle, wife 
of Hugh Quayle of Douglas another
third part of the net proceeds
of my estate and this bequest
or payment shall in no wise be
subject to the control or interference
of her said husband nor subject
to any debt or debts due or contracted
by the said Margaret Quayle or
her husband Hugh Quayle either
before or after the time of my decease
but the personal receipt of the said
Margaret Quayle only notwithstanding
her coverture shall be deemed a sufficient
receipt and discharge to my said executor
Fourthly I give and bequeath to the 
said William Cubbon my nephew the
remaining third part of my whole
estate. Lastly I do hereby nominate
constitute and appoint the said William
Cubbon my nephew whole and sole
executor of this my last will and
testament. In testimony whereof I
have hereunto set my mark to my
name this eleventh day of November
in the year one thousand eight hundred
