In the name of God Amen. I Patrick Kaneen of the Parish 
of KK Andreas being very sick and weak in body, but 
perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto god calling 
unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is 
appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this 
my last will and testament that is to say Principally and 
first of all I give and recommend my Soul unto the hand of 
almighty god that gave it and my body I recommended to the 
earth to be buried in decent christian burial nothing doubting 
but at the general resurrection, I shall receive the same 
again by the mighty power of god, and as touching such worldly 
goods wherewith it hath pleased god to bless me, in this life, 
I  give devise, and disprove of the same in the following 
manner and form, I give and bequeath to Margaret my dearly 
beloved wife all that I have, all my household goods moveable 
effects, and unmoveable  I leave to the witnesses of this 
my will and testament two shillings and six pence each.             
I leave to every person that may have any right to claim in 
my will six pence each.
This 13th October 1834.

		At a Chapter Court holden at Ramsey on the 27th day of  Novr 1840
I Margaret Kaneen the Executrix in the foregoing Will named 
is sworn in Court in form of law well and truly to execute 
and fulfil the last will and Testament of Patrick Kaneen 
deceased to pay all his just Debts and legacies so far as the 
goods and effects of deceased will and extend and the law bind 
her and to do all other acts and deeds, pertaining to the office 
of Executrix according to law and to these ends she had given 
Pledges namely John Radcliffe and Richard Watterson both of 
the parish of Andreas
           Probatum est
           Danl Nelson A.C.


Know all Men, by presents that We John Radcliffe in the Parish of Andreas 
and Richard Watterson of same Parish are held and firmly bound to the 
Rev S. Cecil Hall, Archdeacon of Sodor and Mann, and his successors, 
in the Sum of Five Pounds British; to the Payment thereof well and truly 
to be made, we bind Ourselves, Our Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and 
Assigns, jointly and severally, by these presents, to the said Archdeacon 
and his Successors.
Witness our Subscriptions, this 27th day of Novr 1840

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Island hath this Day granted Probate 
of the Last Will of Patrick Kaneen deceased, to Margaret Kaneen, and
Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such; that if the said 
Margt Kaneen shall well and truly administer the Estate and Effects of the said 
Patrick Kaneen Deceased; and shall in all Things relating thereto conform to the 
Laws of this Isle, the Orders of the Ecclesiastical courts thereof, and the Oath 
she hath this day taken, the foregoing Obligation to be void, otherway to be and 
remain in full force and virtue in Law.
