Rushen At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown 23 Nov 1841. William Gawne of the parish of Kirk Christ Rushen having departed this life on or about the twenty ninth day of June last past intestate and this court having received intelligence thereof, that for the preservation of the rights of all persons concerned) Decreed his son William Gawne is in trust for himself and his brothers and sisters namely John Gawne, Elizabeth Gawne, Jane wife of William Maddrell, Isabella Quayle widow of John Quayle and Eleanor wife of Robert Fossock administrator of all and singular the goods, rights, credits, chattels, and effects, moveable and immoveable whatever of the said deceadent and he the said William Gawne is thereupon sworn well and truly to administer the same to pay all the intestates just debts so far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind; and return into the Episcopal Registry a full, true, and perfect inventory thereof, and an accurate account of all transactions, touching the same when thereunto lawfully required. And to these ends he hath given pledges in form of law, namely Nathaniel Pollard of Port St Mary and Richard Qualtrough of Port St Mary both of Rushen Decretum Est T. A. Corlett
