36        Ballaugh
In the name of God Amen.
I Jane Gawne of Ballaugh do make publish and declare my last will and
testament in manner following.
First I commend my soul to God and my body to a Christian burial.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto Esther Cowley my daughter my share of the
North Curragh called Close Y Vailey.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto Ann Tear my daughter my share of the meadow
know by the name of Close Y Vailey.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto Thomas Gawne my son the sum of five
shillings.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto William Gawne my son the sum of five
shillings.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto any person or persons that shall claim a
right in this my last will and testament the sum of one shilling each.
Lastly I leave and bequeath unto my said daughter Ann Tear all the rest and
remainder of goods chattels credits and effects of nature
whatsoever whome I nominate constitute and appoint executrix of this
my last will and testament this 15th of March 1837.

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael on the 27th day of May 1841. Daniel
Teare husband of Anne Teare als Gawne in right of his wife is
sworn executor in court in form of law well and truly to execute and
fulfil the last will and testament of Jane Gawne deceased to pay all her
just debts and legacies so far forth as the goods will extend and the law
bind him and to do all other acts and deeds pertaining to the office of
executor according to law.  And to these ends he has given pledges
namely Thos Killip and Thomas Callister the witnesses of the will.
