In the name of God Amen
I Thos Creer ????? of the Nappins 
Jurby, being weak in body but of sound
mind memory and understanding do make
constitute and appoint this to be my
last will and testament

First  I commit my soul to almighty God
and my body to Christian burial
Secondly  I leave and bequeath unto my three
daughters namely Elizabeth wife of
Wm Creer  Eliza wife of Robert Corlett
and Charlotte wife of John Quiggin
the whole of my share of a Legacy left
me and my wife by the late John and
Mary Fayle of Bawshan to be equally
divided among them and not to be payable 
until after my wife's discease.
Thirdly  I leave and bequeath unto my son
John the sum of Twenty Pounds British
not to be payable until after my wife's discease
Fourthly  I leave and bequeath unto my Grand-
son Wm Karran the sum of one pound
British.
Fifthly  I leave and bequeath unto my beloved
Wife Elizabeth Creer alias Fayle
the sum of Two Pounds British.
Sixthly and lastly I nominate constitute
and appoint my two sons Namely
Wm and Thos whole and sole Executors
of the whole of the rest of my Goods
Cash credits and effects of whatever
kind or discription wheresoever situate
and residuare legates in the following
manner. Viz son Wm one third and
son Thos two thirds of the whole
binding at the same time the aforesaid
executors that they are to give the 
whole of the yearly income of the afores.
Goods to my before mentioned wife Elizbth.
during her natural life or while she 
continues along with them and in 
case she separates herself from them
or leaves them the aforesaid goods are 
to be valued and she is to receive 
lawful interest out of the amount
of the sum of said valued goods while
she lives and no longer, barring
all other claimants with two shillings
and sixpence Legacy. In witness
whereof I hereto set my name and 
mark to my name this the 23rd
day of January 1841

At a Chapter Court holden
at Michael 26th May 1842
William Creer one of the Executors named 
in the will having renounced in favor of
Thos Creer the other Executor named in sd will
He, the son of Thos Creer is accordingly sworn in court in form of 
law and hath given pledges for the pay-
ment of debts and legacies – namely Edward 
Gale and John Gale Both of Ballateare in the Parish of Jurby
Probatum Est

John Creer a legatee named in the foregoing last will and
Testament of Thomas Creer of Jurby decd appeared personally 
at the Archdeacons Registry – and acknowledged to have 
been paid by and received from Thomas Creer the sworn
Executor of said Will the sum of twenty pounds Sterling
being the amt of a Legacy bequeathed him and by
said Will and he hereby exonerates acquits and discharges
the sd Executor his Heirs Exors Aminrs and Assigns 
of the same and of every part thereof. As Witness
his subscription this 12th day of June 1848

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this Day
granted Probate of the last will and testament
of Thomas Creer late
of the parish of Jurby deceased to Thomas 
Creer 
AND WHEREAS Edward Gale of Ballateare
in the Parish of Jurby and John Gale
of Ballateare in the Parish of Jurby 
Have agreed to become pledges to the said Thos Creer 
Therefore know all Men by these presents that We the said Paul Craine
and Wm Karran Hereby bind and
oblige ourselves and our Executors and Administrators as Pledges to the said
Thos Creer & Cath Creer for the due and faithful Administration of
the Goods and Effects of the said Deceased, according to law, Witness our
Subscriptions this 25 Day of May 1832 (or 1837?)
