At a Chapter Court holden at Kirk Michael 26th May 1842.
The Reverend Thomas Stephen Vicar of the parish of Kirk Patrick having
departed this life on or about the third day of May instant intestate, and
this court having received intelligence thereof hath (for the preservation
of the rights of all persons concerned) Decreed his widow Charlotte Stephen
and her five children namely John Clewes Stephen, Reverend George Cæsar
Stephen, Jane M. Corlett widow of Thomas Corlett, Susannah A. McMaster wife
of Andrew McMaster and Charlotte Augusta Gill wife of Joseph Gill,
co-administrators of all and singular the goods, rights, credits, chattels,
and effects moveable and immoveable whatever of the said deceadent
And he the said John Clewes Stephen is in trust thereupon sworn, well
and truly to administer the same to pay all the intestates just debts, so
far forth as the goods, will extend and the laws bind; and return into the
Episcopal Registry a full, true, and perfect inventory thereof, and an
accurate account of all transactions touching the same when thereunto
lawfully required.  And to these ends he hath given pledges in form of
law, namely the Reverend Daniel Nelson of Kirk Michael and the Reverend
George Cæsar Stephen of Kirk Patrick.(Inventory not typed)
