         Braddan
Whereas the Eccl Court of this Diocese hath this day granted probate of the
will of Ann Creer late of Ballamodey decease, to Ann Creer.
And whereas Matths Caine of Braddan in the parish of (left blank) and John
Clucas of (left blank) in the parish of (left blank) have agreed to become
pledges to the said Ann Creer.
Therefore, know all men by these Presents, that we, the said Matths Caine
and John Clucas hereby bind and oblige ourselves, and our executor, and
Administrators, as pledges to the said Ann Creer for the due and faithful
administration of the goods and effects of the said deceased, according to
law, witness our subscriptions this 10th day of June 1842.

The humble petition of Ann Creer
Sheweth:  That Ann Creer your petitioner's mother lately departed this life
having first duly made and published her last will and testament whereof she
appointed your petitioner executrix and your petitioners desirous of having
the said will proved.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing of this petition and that the said
will may be proved and your petitioner sworn executrix there of and your
petitioner will pray.   Swift for Petr
Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be holden at
Douglas on this day whereof all proper parties to have notice.
Given at Douglas this 10 June 1841.  F. B. Hartwell.


In the name of God Amen.
I Ann Creer of Ballamodey in KK Braddan (widow) being of sound mind, memory
and understanding do ordain and appoint this for my last will and testament
as follows:
First I commit my soul to God and my body unto a Christian burial.
I leave and bequeath unto my son and heir Matthias Creer the sum of two
shillings and six pence British.
I leave and bequeath unto the poor in Baldwin in  he said parish the sum of
one pounds British to be distributed among them by the wardens of St Luke's
Chapel after my decease.
I nominate and appoint my daughter Ann Creer whole and sole executrix of
this my last will and testament and residuary legatee of all the rest of my
goods and effects movable and immovable of what kind name and nature soever.
As witness my subscription this the seventh day of November One Thousand
Eight Hundred and Thirty Seven 7 Nov 1837.          Ann Creer

At a court holden at Douglas 1 Jun 1842.
The executrix is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for
the payment of debts and legacies namely Matts Caine and John Clucas.
