16     Braddan
In the name of God Amen
We Robert Quilliam of the parish of Kirk Braddan and Catharine Quilliam
otherwise Cretney my wife being of sound and disposing mind memory
and understanding do ordain and appoint this for our last joint will and
testament as follows:
First we commit our souls to God and our bodies unto a decent Christian
burial.
We leave and bequeath unto our three children namely John, Catharine,
and Isabella Quilliam the sum of five shillings each.
To any person that may have any right to claim to our effects we leave one
shilling legacy.
And Lastly we nominate and appoint the survivor or longest liver of us whole
and sole executor or executrix of this our joint last will and testament and
residuary legatee of all the rest of our goods and
effects, movable and immovable of what kind, name or nature soever and
wheresoever as witness our subscriptions this twenty second day of December
one  thousand eight hundred and forty two.
