I Jane Fargher wife of John Fargher of Laxey Glen in the Parish of Kk Lonan
being of sound mind memory and understanding do make this the following as
and for my last Will and Testament
First I Comend my Soul to God who gave it and body to decent Christian burial
Secondly ­ I leave and bequeath to my eldest son and Heir at Law John
Fargher my moiety share and title in and unto all and singular the Several
parcels of Lands with the Houses and buildings thereon created Situate in
the parish of Lonan aforesaid purchased by my said Husband to be possessed
and enjoyed by him imediately upon my decease he the said son and Heir
paying in lieu and consideration thereof the Sum of Seventy Pounds British
unto my loving Husband Jno Fargher my hereafater mennitioned Executor ­ and
my will and desire for this is that provided my said son and Heir will
refuse or decline paying the said sum of Seventy pounds in maner aforesaid
then I hereby leave decree and bequeath the said lands premises and Houses
to and Between my two sons William Farghr and Henry Fargher share and share
alike.
Item ­ I Leave and bequeath to Daughter Jane Farther the sum of Twenty
pounds and a cow and bed and bedings
Item ­ I Leave and bequeath to my Daughter Margt wife of James Clague of
Ballacregga the sum of twenty pounds and a Cow
Item I Leave and bequeath to my daughter Elenor Fargher the Sum of Twenty
pounds and my own bed and bedings to be paid unto her at Twenty one years
of age
Item I Leave and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the sum of twenty pounds
to be paid unto her at Twenty one years of age togeth with a feather bed
and bedings
Item ­ I Leave and bequeath to my son Thomas Fargher the Sum of five pounds
Item I leave and Bequeath to my son William the sum of fifteen pounds
Item I Leave and bequeath to my son Henry the sum of Twenty pounds ­ and
the above legacies to be paid to my aforesaid Sons and Daughters imediately
after the come to twenty one years of age
and I Leave six pence Legacy to any person or persons that may claim in
this my last will testament
Lastly I nominate constitute and apoint my aforesaid Husband Jno Fargher
sole and whole Executor of this my last will and testament and residuary
Legatee of all the rest resideue and remainder of my property of every
description what Soever as witness my hand this the tenth day of March one
thousand Eight Hundred and forty two

who ar her request have become witnesses hereunto

                                At a Chapter Court held in Douglas 14th June 1843
John Fargher the Executor named in the will is sworn in Court in form of
Law well and truly to Execute the Last will and Testament of Jane Fargher
and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and Legacies namely John
Cain of Ballacregen in the Parish of Lonan and John Clague of Laxey in sd
Parish of Lonan
