Bride To the Worshipful Thomas Arthur Corlett Vicar General etc etc etc The humble petition of William Christian of Ballabeg in the parish of Bride Shewith, That Stephen Kaneen and Anne his wife otherwise Christian the sister of yr petitioner sometime since left this Isle for America and departed this life there leaving within this Isle certain effects and money belonging to their estate. That the next of kin of the said Stephen Kaneen are his brother Thos. Kaneen of Lezayre and Bahee Kneale (widow) of Andreas And the next of kin of the said Ann Kaneen dec are Margaret Lord wife of Jhn Lord of Lonan and your pet. That it is expedient that administrator of the respective effects of Stephen Kaneen and Anne Kaneen should be committed to some peoples person for the benefit of all parties interested. Wherefore pets prays a hearing and that your pets or some fit person be decreed adminor as well of the said Stephen Kaneen as also of the said Anne Kaneen and pets wife pray & for pets. Wm Cls Sterphen Ordered that this petition be heard before me at Ramsey on Friday the 21st April next whereof all parties to have Notice given this 30th day of March 1843. T. A. Corlett At an Eccl Court held in Ramsay the 12th May 1843 Upon hearing this Petition in presence of the parties and their advocates to this court that Stephen Kaneen and Ann Kaneen otherwise Christian his wife some time ago departed this life intestate in America leaving four children and next of kin who are therefore decreed sole admors of all and singular the rights goods credits chattels and effects of the said deceadts within this diocese and the sd children being alive Daniel Christian Sumner General of the Diocese is sworn in trust well and truly to administer the sd estate to pay all just debts so far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind him due to return to the Episcopal Registry a full true and perfect inventory of the sd goods and effects with an accurate acct of his acts and proceedings in the Premises when there unto lawfully required.
