*GARRETT, Jane 1843 Mic A 42 0106250 In the name of God Amen. I Jane Garrett otherwise Quayle of the parish Michael wife and relict of John Garrett of the same parish being of sound mind memory and understanding do make my last will and testament in manner following: First I commend my soul to allmighty God and my body to Christisn burial. I leave and bequest to my son John the sum of thirty pounds and my share of houses and land as legacy twenty pounds to be paid after my death and the remainder after my husbands death or marriage the whole of the income is for my beloved husband so long as he stands in my name. I leave and bequest to my daughter Jane the slum of One Hundred and Twenty Pounds and all my clothes and a feather bed as legacy twenty pounds to be paid after my death and the remainder after my beloved husbands death or marriage and the income of all to my husand if not married and if married all my share of good is to go to John and Jane my beloved children. I nominate ordain constitute and appoint my beloved husband whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament of the remainder of all my goods and effects whether moveable or immoveable of what nature kind or denomination soever hereby ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament whereof I have caused my name and mark to be here unto subscribed and set. This the 6th of April One thousand Eight hundred and forty three. Jane Garrett my mark X Witnessed by Thos Quayle and William Cannon At a Chapter Court held at Michael 15th June 1843 The executor named in the will is sworn in court in form of law well and truly to execute the last will and testament of Jane Garrett decease and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely Thos Quayle of the Village of Michael and Wm Cannon Ballacharmane Michael Probatum est Dan'l Nelson Ar Office I John Garrett of the parish of KK Michael a legatee named in the last will and testament of Jane Garrett late of said parish deceased do hereby own and acknowledge to have been paid the sum of thirty pounds legacy bequeathed me in and by said will which bears date the 6th april 1843 from John Quayle the executor in right of his wife of the will of John Garrett deceased who was executor of the will of said Jane Garrett. And I do hereby exonerate acquit and discharge the said John Quayle and every person whomsoever from all liability on account of said legacy and every part thereof. And I do by these present cancel the same - As witness my subscription this 15th day of December 1852 This before me R. Brown A.R John Garrett
