41       Maughold
The humble petition of Jane Joughin relict of Robert Joughin relict of
Robert Joughin of Chamalt in the parish of Maughold.
Sheweth:  That on the 4th day of November last past your petitioners
late husband the said Robert Joughin departed this life but first duly
made and published his last will and testament and thereof appointed
your petitioner executrix and your petitioner is desirous to have the said
will received and probate granted thereon and your petitioner sworn
executrix thereof.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof.
I leave and bequeath to my son Robert Joughin the sum of five shillings
as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to the church wardens of the parish of Maughold for the
time being and their successors in said office the sum of three
pounds sterling to be by them and their successors and said office
forever laid out at interest on landed security and the annual interest
thereof to be applied by the said wardens for the relief of the poor persons
of the said parish yearly forever.
I further will and declare that the aforesaid legacies to Jane Joughin and
the wardens of Maughold are not to become due and payable unto after
the death of my wife the executrix.
I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my wife Jane Joughin sole executrix
of this my will and residuary legatee of all my goods cash
credits bills bonds chattels and effects moveable and immovable of what
nature or kind soever.  In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribe my name
this sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight
hundred and forty four.         Robert Joughin
