37     Ramsey
In the name of God Amen.
I Mary Corlett alias Killip of the town of Ramsey being sound in memory
and understanding but being mindful of the uncertainty of this life do make
constitute and appoint the following to be my last will and
testament.
First I commit my soul to God and my body to a Christian burial at the
discretion of my herein after named executor.  I give and bequeath to my son
John Corlett all my rights, titles, and interest to a meadow in the parish
of Lezayre known by the  name of Blacks Meadow and adjoining the land of
Daniel Christian on the west, the land of John Kneale on the North the lands
of William Cowle on the east and the land of Evan Garret and
John Christian  on the south, I further leave to my son John Corlett all
my right title and interest in two parcels of land in Glenoldin and know
by the names of the Lag and Tallowcrow but reserving the full right and
benefit of the before named lands to my husband John Corlett during his
natural life.
I give and bequeath to my son Edward Corlett all my right title and
interest to the dwelling house we now live in with the buildings yard and
garden thereunto adjoining but reserving the  full right and benefit of
the before named house and premises to my husband John Corlett during his
life time.
I give and bequeath to my son Hugh Corlett all my right title and interest
to two dwelling houses adjoining each other one of which we bought of Thomas
Skillicorn and wife and received the other by will from Judith
Corlett my mother in law and the yard thereunto adjoining the Old Street
by the shore on the east and the land leading to the New Street on the north
but reserving the full right of the before name houses to my husband John
Corlett during his life.
I give and bequeath to my son James Corlett all my right title and
interest to a dwelling house in the New Street with the yard and
outbuildings thereunto adjoining and joining St Peters Chapel on the
south the yard of Thomas Martin on the west and the house of Mrs Christian
on the north but reserving the full right and benefit to my husband John
Corlett during his life.
And if any one or more of my before named sons should depart this life
without having any lawful child then his or their share shall be  equally
divided among the survivors.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my loving husband sole and
whole lawful executor and residuary legatee of all the rest of my goods
chattels bonds and  effects of whatever nature or denomination
whatever as witness my subscription this 12th day of August 1843.
