In the name of God Amen
We William Clark and Mary Clark both of the West Nappin the parish of Jurby
both advanced in life and calling to mind the uncertainty thereof
do proceed to made this our joint will and testament in manner
following:
First We commit our souls to God and our bodies to Christian burial. Item We
leave and bequeath to our son William Stephen Clark the sum of ten pounds
British as legacy.
Item We leave and bequeath to our daughter Leonora the wife of Thomas Cowell
the sum of ten pounds British as legacy.
Item We leave and bequeath to our son Archibald the sum of five pounds
British as legacy.
Item We leave and bequeath to our son John Thomas Clark the sum of five
pounds British as legacy.
Item We leave and bequeath to our son Casar Clark the sum of five
pounds British as legacy.
Item We leave and bequeath to our son Daniel Clark the sum of six pounds
British as legacy and in case our son Daniel is not alive at the time of
the death of either of us or is not in this island to receive the said
legacy then and in that case we leave and bequeath the said legacy to
William, John, and Margaret children of our said son Daniel share and
share alike as legacy.
Item We leave and bequeath to our son Angus Clark the sum of five shillings
British as legacy.
Item We leave and bequeath to our daughter Mary the wife of Richard Gelder
the sum of five pounds British as legacy and which  several
legacies are to become due and payable at the end of six months after
the death of whichever of us shall happen to die first and are to be paid
by the survivor.
And we do hereby nominate and appoint the survivor of us the said
William Clark and Mary Clark executor or executrix of whichever of us
shall first depart this life and the survivor also to be residuary legatee
of the first deceased as witnesses our subscriptions this 17th day of
February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty
seven.

Signed and duly executed in our presence who at the request of the testators
have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto in their presence and in
presence of each other.

The undersigned hereby consent that probate of the will of Mrs Mary Clarke
be granted unto Mr Wm Clarke.  Witness their names this 31 July 1845

Dear Sir.  We the undersigned are noticed to attend your court tomorrow at
Ramsey to be present at the receiving of our late mother's will.  And
as it is impossible for us to attend we have troubled you with this
notice that we have no objection to the will.
We leave the honor to be yours very truly.

The humble petition of William Clark of the Nappin the parish of Jurby
Sheweth:  That your petitioner's wife Mary Clark lately departed this life
having previously published her last will and testament in writing
whereof she appointed your petitioner executor.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing of this petition and that your
Worship may be pleased to grant probate of the will of the said Mary
Clark unto your petitioner and he will pray.
Ordered that this petitioner do come on to be heard before me at an Eccl
Court to be held in Ramsey on Friday next whereof all proper parties and
persons to have due notice.

At an Ecclesiastical Court held in Ramsey the 1st Aug 1845.
Upon hearing this petition in presence of the petitioner the next of kin
being duly noticed and upon examining Andrew McConnell John Callister
and Patrick Callister witnesses to the will of Mary Clark I am of opinion
the said will is duly proved and that probate thereof should be granted as
prayed for and the same is therefore hereby so ordered accordingly
