I Jane Faragher wife of John Fargher of Baldrine in the Parish of Lonan
knowing the uncertainty of this transitory life and the certainty of death
being through the blessing of God in a sound state of mind and memory but
calling to mind the frail tenure of this life and that it is appointed for
all men to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament.
First I commit my Soul to God who gave it and my body to a christian burial
and as to my worldly effects I dispose of it in the manner and proportions
here following
1st I leave and bequeath to my son William Fargher one shilling
2nd I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas Fargher the chest in the paurler
3rdly I leave and bequeath to my son Joseph Fargher on shilling
4thly I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Ann wife of Thomas Clucas one
shilling
5thly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Jane Fargher all my appeareal and
the best bed and beddings
6thly I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Margaret Fargher one shilling
7thly I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Eleanor Fargher one shilling
and I leave Six pence Lagacy to any Person or Persons that may claim in
this my last will and Testament
And Lastly Nominating and appointing my Dutiful and loving Husband John
Fargher whom I make my whole and sole Executor of this my last will and
Testament and I leave Bequeath unto him the said John Fargher my Husband
(all and singular my moiety of the lands in Colby which we bought of John
Lawson by a deed of sale Commonly called Colby flats) and of all the rest
of my goods and chattels moveable and immoveable of whatever nature and
Denomination soever
And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other
former testaments wills legacies Bequeths and Executors by me in any way
before named willed and Bequeathed ­ Ratifying and confirming this and no
other to be my last will and testament as witness my name hereunto
subscribed this the third Day of December one Thousand Eight Hundred and
forty four 1844
