The humble petition of Frederick Anderson of Ballagary in the parish of
Jurby.
Sheweth:  That Jane Anderson your petitioner's late wife departed this life
on or about the 22 day of January last past but first duly made and
published her last will and testament thereof appointed Frederick Anderson
junior executor.
That the said Frederick Anderson Junior is a minor.  That the said Jane
Anderson left four children namely Quine Anderson, now off this island,
Frederick Anderson Junior, Robert Anderson, and Jane Catharine Anderson her
surviving.
That is is necessary that probate be granted of the will of the said Jane
Anderson.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that your worship may
be pleased to grant probate of the said will and appoint your petitioner
executor in trust for the benefit of the said Frederick Anderson Junior and
petitioner will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be holden in
Ramsey on Friday the 19th instant whereof all proper parties are to have due
notice.

At an Adjourned Eccl Court held in Ramsey the 20th May 1847
Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties and upon  examining Wm
H. Byon and Jon Quine the subscribing witness to the will of Jane Anderson
decease I am of opinion the same has been duly proved and that probate ought
to be granted thereon as prayed for and the same is therefore hereby

In the name of God Amen. I Jane Anderson wife of Frederick Anderson of
Ballagrey in the parish of Jurby Isle of Man - revoking all former wills and
testaments consitutue and appoint this my last will and testament that is to
say as follows:
I give and bequeath unto my eldest son Quine Anderson the sum of ten
shillings the same to be paid yearly and at his decease the said sum of 10
Shillings to be null and void.
Robert Anderson I give and bequeath the sum of eighty pounds but be it
understood that he is only to have the interest of the said sum for the term
of his natural life and at his decease should he have lawful issue then the
aforesaid sum of eight pounds if to be divided amongst his sister Jane and
his brother Frederick and be it further understood that he for the term of
his life is to receive the interest of the aforesaid and -------
To my daughter Jane Catharine I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred
pounds for her sole use and benefit but be it understood that she for the
term of her natural life is only to receive the interest of the same for the
term of her natural life to be paid yearly at her decease should she have
lawful issue the aforesaid sum if to be divided amongst them but should she
die childless the said sum is to be given to her brothers Frederick and
Robert and I further give and bequeath to my daughter aforesaid half of the
stock sheep on the said farm at my decease and half of the cattle and my
------ of the ---- of which stock and To my
second son whom I appoint sole executor of this my last will and testament I
give and bequeath all my right and interest in my one half of the estate of
Ballagrey aforesaid  to be by him enjoyed for his sole use and benefit but
be it specially understood that I charge my one half of the aforesaid farm
of Ballagrey with the several sums of all money and interest of money as
aforesaid left by me to my children his brothers and sisters in this my last
will are charged and secured upon this my one half of the farm Ballagrey
aforesaid to be by him paid or his assigns and should he Frederick my son
die without lawful issue one half of the farm aforesaid is to be divided
between his brother Robert and his sister Jane Catharine.
To the poor of the parish of Jurby in the Isle of Man I leave the sum of
twenty shillings and I do so appoint this my last will in the name of God as
witness my hand and seal this 31st day of Oct 1846.

Bond issued to John Stephen of Ballaugh and John Kissack of Ramsey.
