                The humble petition of
                Robert Lawson of the parish
                of Braddan
Sheweth
       that Elizabeth Lawson the late wife
    of your Petitioner some short time since
    departed this life intestate leaving
    one child her surviving
       that your petitoner        
    of obtaining administration of the
    Estate and Effects of the said Elizabeth
    Lawson
           Wherefor you petitioner
           prays a hearing hereof
           and that your Worship
           will be pleased to grant to
           your petitione or to some other
           fit and proper person adminstation
           of the Estate and Effects of the
           said Elizabeth lawson deceased
           and petitioner will pray.

Ordered that this petition od come on to be heard at an Ecclesiastical
Court to be holden at Douglas on Tuesday the 23rd May
next. Whereof all parties to have due notice.

When hearing this Petition inpresence of the parties and it appearing
that Elizth Lawson some time ago departed this life intestate leaving
Wm lawson aminor her only child and next of kin who is therefore
decreed sole admor of all and singular the goods, rights, credits
chattles and effects of the sd deceased and Robert Lawson the Pettr
is sworn well and truly to adminster the sd Estate according to law
and in trust for the sd minor, to pay all just debts and funeral
expenses of the deceased so far forth as the goods will extend and
the law bind him and to return to the Exl Registry of this Diocese
a full true and perfect inventory of the same with an accurate
account of his acts and proceedings in the premises, when
thereunto lawfully required and to these ends he has given
pledges namely Matthias Cain and John Moor who have
in presence of this Court entered into the usual bond.

      We whose names ensue being a jury of four
men, summonsed and sworn by Christopher Karrew
Sumner of Braddan to inventor and appriase the
goods & effects of the late Elizabeth Lawson for the benefit
of all persons concerned in her estate, we appraise the same
as follows.
