Rushen 1850 91 This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Ann Gawne alias Corrin of Glendown in the parish of KK Christ Rushen which she made and published in our presence on Tuesday morning being the 24th day of March 1846 and committed to writing by us the witnesses at the same time as she committed her soul to Almighty God who gave it and her body to a Christian burial. I leave and bequeath unto my son William Gawne five shillings. I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Jane Taubman alias Gawne ten pounds one half of the bed clothes except one bed and bedding. I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Gawne seventy pounds, my bed and bedding and bed stock, my spinning wheel, and one half of the bed clothes, her own chist. I leave and bequeath unto my grandson John Taubman my own chest. I leave and bequeath unto my granddaughter Ann Taubman a spinning wheel. I leave and bequeath unto my grandson William Turnbull twenty pounds and his mother Ann Turnbull alias Gawne chest the interest of the said twenty pounds to commence a twelve months after my decease and to be paid yearly and every year until he arrives at the age of twenty one years and should he not survive at that age then the said legacies is to descend unto my daughter Catherine Gawne before mentioned or her executors administrators or assigns. I leave and bequeath unto the poor of the parish twenty shillings. I nominate constitute and appoint and ordain my loving husband William Gawne to be whole and sole executor of all the rest of my goods, credits, chattels, and effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever debarring all other relations with the smallest sum the law do allow as witness my subscription this the 14th day of March 1849. William Keggeen received for Catherine his wife all legacies on 13 Nov 1866. Wm Turnbull received for his wife Ann 13 Nov 1866. Thomas Taubman received for his wife Jane Gawne 13 Nov 1866.
