In the Name of God Amen We
Peter Corkill of Ballagorry Veg in the 
parish of KK Maughold And Ann
Corkill alias Kermeen my wife Being
Both advanced in years and in Decline of
Life and sensible of the uncertainty of
Human Existance and by Course of Nature
that neither of us have long to survive
Do Mutually and Amically agree to make
publish and declare these presents to be
our Last will and testament in a Joint 
Manner And do hereby Revoke all other
Will or Wills by us or either of us having
made previous to the date of these presents
Imprimis 
We first Commit our souls unto the hand 
of God who gave them and Our Bodies
to the Earth to be intered in a Christian
like manner at the descretion of our 
Hereafter Mentioned Executor and as
touching our worldly Effects we Jointly
dispose of in the following manner
Item, We Leave devise and bequeath unto
Each other the either of us to the other all
and Every of our worldly Effects Real and 
personal Bills Bonds Cash Credits that we are
at presemt possessed of or such other Effects
that we may be at the decease of the first
fate of us to be immediately possessed and enjoyed
by the Survivor the same to be the absolute
Right and at the entire and free disposal
of the said survivor without Controut
Item We Jointly Leave devise and bequeath
unto John Corkill Now of the Barony the 
Sum of Five pounds Sterling and the sum

of Sixpence to Every pe ^son who shall Claim 
Related to us by Law And Lastly we Nomin
nate Ordain Constitute and appoint Evan
Gill now of the Barony Sole and whole
Exor and residuary Legatee of all and every
the worldly Effects the Survivor of us may
be possessed of and undisposed of at either of
Our decease movable and unmoveable of
Whatever kind nature description or
denomination whatsoever In testimony
whereof we have subscribed our Names
or marks to the same this the 7th
Day of June in the year of Our Lord

                   At a Chapter Court holden Ramsey on
                   the 31st day of May  1850 _
Thomas Corteen and William Kneen the subscribing Witnesses to
the foregoing paper writing purporting to be the Will of Peter
Corkill deceased made Oath on the Holy Evangelists that
said Testator when of sound and disposing mind memory
and understanding duly signed and executed the same in
their presence to and for his last Will and Testament. Evan
Gill the Executor is therefore  therein named is therefore
sworn well and truly to fulfil and execute said Will
according to Law to pay all just Debts, Legacies and Funeral
Expenses of said Testator so far forth as the Goods and
Effects will extend and the Law bind him to return
to the Archdeacons Registry a full true and perfect Inventory
of said Goods and Effects with an accurate account of
his Acts and proceedings in the premises when thereunto
Lawfully required and to these ends he hath given
pledges namely Thomas Corteen and William Kneen
who have executed a Bond to that effect bearing
[copeal] date herewith __

 10th day of June 1853. __
Thomas Corteen and William Kneen the subscribing witnesses to the
foregoing paper writing purporting to be the Will of Ann Corkill
deceased having made Oath on the Holy Evangelists that said
Ann Corkill the Testatrix when of sound and disposing mind
memory and understanding duly signed and executed the same
in [that] [foreasmuch] as and for her Last Will and Testament - Evan
Gill the Executor therein named is therefore sworn well and 
truly to fulfil and execute said Will according to Law __
to pay all just Debts, Legacies and Funeral expences
of said Testatrix as far forth as the Goods and Effects
[will] [extend] and the Law bind him And to return to the
Archdeacons Registry a full true and perfect Inventory
of the Goods and Effects with an accurate account
of his Acts and proceedings in the Premises when thereunto
Lawfully required And to these ends he hath given
pledges namely Thomas Corteen of Ballashoghlage
and William Kneen of Ballacorteen both in the parish
of Maughold who have executed the usual Bond in
presence of the Court.

WHEREAS the Ecclesiastial Court of this Diocese hath this day granted probate of the Last
Will and Testament of Peter Corkill __ late of  
Maughold deceased, to Evan Gell the Executor
Therein named
AND WHEREAS Thomas Corteen jnr. of Ballashoghlgage
in the parish of Maughold and William Kneen 
of Lagagher __ in the parish of Maughold have agreed
to become pledges to the said Evan Gell ___ for the due administration
of the said Estate according to law.
Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, the said Thomas Corteen
__________________ and William Kneen hereby bind and oblige
ourselves and our Executors and Administrators, as pledges to the said  Evan Gell __
______________________________ for the due and faithful administration of the goods 
and  effects of the said deceased according to law.  And in his default we bind ourselves and our Executors 
and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate, or the Administration thereof.
Witness our subscriptions this   31st  __ day of  May  1850
