Nathan Pickles German To His Worship Thos. A. Corlett Esq. Vicar Genl. The humble petition of Thomas Pickles of Manchester. Sheweth that your Petrs. father Nathan Pickles late of the Town of Peel departed this life on or about the 8th July 1849 having previously made a Will whereof he appointed .......... .......... Executor. That petr. is desirous to have Probate of sd. Will wherefore he prays a hearing of this Petition and that it will ..... be recd. and that Probate may be granted to your Petr. and he will pray. .............. Moore for Petr. Ordered that this Petition do come on to be heard this day. Given this 31st Janry. 1850 T.A. Corlett At an Eccl. Court held in KK Michael this 31st Jany. 1850. Upon hearing this Petition in presence of parties and upon examining Margt. Waring and Robt. I. Moore Esq. Witnesses to the Will of Nathan Pickles I am of opinion the due execution of the sd. Will has been proved and that probate thereof ought to be granted as prayed for and the same is therefore hereby so ordered ....... & Decreed accordingly. T.A. Corlett This is the last Will and Testament of me Nathan Pickles of the Town of Peel Ironmonger made this 2nd day of June 1849. I leave to each of my children a Legacy of six pence. I leave and bequeath to my Grand-Daughter Ellen Wilkinson who lives with me a Legacy of twelve pounds. I leave the residue of my personal property and effects to my son Thomas Pickles and I nominate and appoint him the sd. Thos. Pickles whole and sole Executor of this my Will. Moore At an Eccl. Courtr held in KK Michael the 31st Jany. 1850. Margaret Waring and Robt. I. Moore Esq. the subscribing witnesses to the Will of Nathan Pickles decd. having made oath on the Holy Evangelists that the sd. Testator Nathan Pickles when of sound disposing mind memory and understanding duly signed and executed the foregoing Paper writing as and for his last Will and Testament in their presence. Thomas Pickles the Executor therein named is therefore sworn well and truly to fulfill and execute the same to pay all just debts legacies and funeral expenses so far forth as the Goods will extend and the law bind him. And to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full true and perfect Inventory of the sd. Estate with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawfully required. And to these ends he has given pledges namely Robt. Higgins and Evan Quirk who have executed the usual Bond in presence of the Court. Probatum Est. T.A. Corlett WHEREAS the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted Probate of the last Will & Testament of Nathan Pickles late of Peel Town deceased, to Thomas Pickles the Extr. named in the sd. Will. AND WHEREAS Robt. Higgins of Peeltown in the Parish of German and Evan Quirk of the sd. Town in the Parish of German have agreed to become pledges to the said Thos. Pickles for the due administration of the said Estate according to law. Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, the said Robt. Higgins and Evan Quirk hereby bind and oblige ourselves and our Executors and Administrators, as pledges to the said Thomas Pickles for the due and faithful administration of the goods and effects of the said deceased according to law. And in his default we bind ourselves and our Executors and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate, or the Administration thereof.
