The Humble Petition of
Elizabeth Corkill and
Eleanor Quayle (Widow) of
the Parish of Michael.

Sheweth
	that your Petitioner’s Mother Mary
	Corkill departed this life in the
	month of June last.
		
	That by her last Will and Testament
	dated the 14th of March last past
	your Petitioners were appointed 
	to the Executorship of the said Will.

	That your Petitioners are
	desirous to be sworn and
	appointed according to law
	as matters of urgency and importance
	require to be speedily settled 
	in the Premises.

	Wherefore your Petitioners
pray a hearing of this 
	Petition and that they
	may be sworn and
	appointed according
	to Law with such other
	& further relief as to
	your Worship may
	seem meet & your
	Petitioners will pray.

Ordered that this Petition do come 
on to be heard at an Eccl. Court to
be holden at KK Michael on
Thursday the 31st inst. whereof all proper parties
and persons are to have due notice.
Given at Ramsey 23rd day of January 1850.

At an Eccl. Court held in KK Michael the 31st Jany. 1850.
Upon hearing this Petition in presence of the parties or their
Advocates and upon examining Thomas Quayle and Patr. Kelly
Witnesses to the Will of Mary Corkill decd. I am of opinion
that sd. Will has been duly proved and that probate thereof should
be granted as prayed for and the same is hereby to ordered
adjudged and Decreed accordingly.

In the name of God Amen I Mary Corkill
wife of John Corkill of Ballakilley-clieu being sick
and weak of body but of sound mind memory 
and understanding do make this my last
Will and Testament as follows. Viz

In the first place I commit my Soul to God 
and my body to Christian burial.
Secondly I leave to all cravers the sum of
Sixpence cash.
I leave to Catharine wife of Wm. Cowley the 
sum of five shillings as Legacy – also the 
sum of five shillings to my daughter Ann Corkill as Legacy.
I leave my share of the Chest or Box to
my Husband John Corkill.
Lastly I nominate ordain constitute and appoint 
my two daughters viz. Elizabeth Corkill 
and Eleanor Quayle Widow of the late Thomas Quayle
whole and sole executors of the residue of my 
Goods & Effects both moveable and
immoveable together with Cash, Credits
of what nature kind or denomination
soever they be satisfying & confirming
this and no other to be my last Will 
and Testament this 14th March 1849.

At an Eccl. Court held in KK Michael the 31st Jany. 1850.
Thomas Quayle and Patr. Kelly the subscribing witnesses to the
foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last will and
testament of Mary Corkill decd. having made oath on the 
Holy Evangelists that the sd. Mary Corkill the Testatrix when
of sound disposing mind memory and understanding
duly signed and executed the same as and for her last will
in their presence.  Elizabeth Corkill and Elnr. Quayle the
Executrix as therein named are therefore sworn well and truly
to fulfil and execute the sd. Will to pay all just debts legacies 
and funeral expenses of the Testator so far forth as the 
Goods will extend and the law bind them and to 
return to the Episcopal Registry a full true and perfect
Inventory of the sd. Estate with an accurate account of their
acts and proceedings in the Premises when thereunto lawfully
required and to these ends they have given pledges namely
John Corkill and the sd. Patr. Kelly who have executed the usual 
Bond in presence of the Court.
				Probatum Est.

WHEREAS the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted Probate of the last
Will and Testament of Mary Corkill late of 
Michael deceased, to Elizth. Corkill & Elizth. Quayle widow
the Executrixes in the sd. Will named.

AND WHEREAS John Corkill of  Ballakilley-clieu
in the Parish of Michael and Pat. Kelly of the
Village in the Parish of Michael have agreed
to become pledges to the said Elizth. Corkill and Elizth. Quayle for the administration
of the said Estate according to law.

Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, the said John Corkill
and Patrick Kelly hereby bind and oblige
ourselves and our Executors and Administrators as pledges to the said Elizabeth Corkill
and Elizth. Quayle for the due and faithful administration of the goods
and effects of the said deceased according to law.  And in their default we bind ourselves and our Executors
and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate, or the Administration thereof.
Witness our subscriptions this 31st day of Jany. 1850.
