To the Worshipful Thomas Arthur Corlett Vicar
General.

The humble petition of William
Quayle of the parish of Lezayre.

Sheweth
	That your petitioner’s brother Patrick Quayle
	who was a Bachelor lately departed this life at 
	the parish of Lezayre intestate leaving your 
	petitioner and John Quayle Thomas Quayle Mary
	wife of Mark Joughin and Catharine wife of
	Thomas Cowley his brothers and sisters entitled to	
	his personal Estate.
	
	That it is necessary to have some
	proper person appointed & sworn to Administer the
	estate of the said Patrick Quayle.

	Wherefore your Petitioner prays
	a hearing of this petition and 
	that your Worship may be pleased
	to grant Admor. of the estate of the 
	said Patrick Quayle unto
	the said Thomas Cowley or some other
	proper person in Trust for the your 
	petitioner and the said other next
	of kin of the said Patrick Quayle
	and your petitioner will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard
at an Eccles. Court to be holden at Ramsey on
Friday the 26th Inst. whereof all proper parties to have
due notice.
		Given this 22nd April 1850.

At an Eccl. Court held in Ramsey the 26th April 1850.

Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties or their
advocates and it appearing that Pat. Quayle late of Lezayre
some short time ago departed this life intestate a Bachelor leaving
Cath. Cowley wife of Thomas Cowley his sister and Mary Joughin
wife of Mark Joughin his sisters and Thomas Quayle and
John Quayle his brothers all of whom are therefore Decreed
Admors. of all and singular the Goods Rights Credits Chattels
and Effects of the sd. Deceased and the sd. Thomas Cowley
is by consent of parties sworn well and truly to administer 
the same to pay all just debts and funeral expenses of the 
decd. so far forth as the Goods will extend and the law bind
him and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese
a full true and perfect Inventory of the same with an
accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the Premises
when thereunto lawfully required.  And to these ends he has
given Pledges namely the sd. Wm. Quayle and John Quayle
who have entered into the usual Bond in presence of the Court.

WHEREAS the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese that this day granted Administration of all and
singular the Goods & Effects of Pat. Quayle late of
Lezayre deceased, to Thos. Cowley in Trust for Wm. Quayle
John Quayle, Thos. Quayle, Mary Joughlin wife of Mark
Joughlin and Cath. Cowley wife of the sd. Thos. Cowley.

AND WHEREAS Wm. Quayle of Blockeairy
in the Parish of Lezayre and John Quayle
of Sulby in the Parish of Lezayre have agreed
to become pledges to the said Thomas Cowley for the due administration 
of the said Estate according to law.

Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, the said Wm. Quayle
and John Quayle hereby bind and oblige
ourselves and our Executors and Administrators, as pledges to the said Thomas Cowley
for the due administration of the goods 
and effects of the said deceased according to law.  And in his default we bind ourselves and our Executors
and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate, or the Administration thereof.
Witness our subscriptions this 26th day of April 1850.
