Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted administration of the 
personal estate of John Corlett and Esther Corlett his wife deceased is John Corlett their eldest 
son in trust for himself and Robert Corlett now abroad as the only next of kin of the deceased.

And Whereas Thomas Radcliffe of Ballacleator in the parish of Andreas and William Radcliffe 
of Ramsey in the parish of Maughold have agreed to become pledges for the said John Corlett 
for the due administration of the said Estate according to law.
Therefore knew all men by these present that we said Thomas Radcliffe and William Radcliffe 
hereby bind and oblige ourselves and our Executors and Administrators as pledges for the said 
John Corlett for the due and faithful administration of the goods and effects of the deceased 
according to law. And is his default we bind ourselves and our Executors and Administrators to 
be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate or the Administration thereof.

To his Worship Vicar General Corlett
		The humble Petition of John Corlett of Ballacrebbin in the Parish of Andreas

Sheweth:   That John Corlett late of the parish of Andreas and Esther his wife who were father 
and mother of your petr lately departed this life intestate leaving your petr and his brother 
Robert now abroad their children _____ survivng.
		That it is necessary that some fit and proper person be appointed administrator 
		of the Estate of the Decedents for the benefit of all parties concerned.
	Your Petitioner therefore prays a hearing hereof and that your worship may be pleased 
	to grant to your petr administrator of the estate of the Decedents in the usual and accustomed 
	manner and your Petr shall pray.

Ordered that the petitioner come on  to be heard at an Ecc Court to be holden at Ramsey on 
Mon 17th whereof all proper parties and persons to have due notice.

Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties or their advocates and it appearing that 
John Corlett and Robert Corlett their only next of kin, they are decreed joint administrators of 
all and singular the goods, rights, credits, chattels and effects of the said deceased and the petr 
is sworn in trust well and truly to administer the said estate according to law  and to pay all just 
debts, funeral expenses of the decedents so far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind 
him to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full true and perfect inventory of the 
estate with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the _____  to have lawfully 
_______ and to this end he has given pledges namely Thomas Radcliffe and William Radcliffe 
who have executed the usual bond in ___ the Court.
