56           Lezayre
The humble petition of Elizabeth Crow of Aust in the parish of Lezayre
Sheweth - That of late to wit on the 25th day of December last past Edmund
Crow of Aust aforesaid your petitioners late husband departed this life
intestate leaving your petitioner and one son and five daughters all of full
age him surviving and it is expedient that administration should be granted
to his estate with as little delay as possible.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that administration of
the estate of the decedent may be granted to your petitioner and she will
pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at court to be holden at
Ramsey on Thursday the 14th instant whereof all proper parties are to have
due notice.

At an Eccl Court held in Ramsey the 14th Jan 1858 upon hearing this petition
in presence of the parties or their advocates and it appearing that Edmund
Crow late of Aust in the parish of Lezayre some time ago departed this life
intestate leaving issue his six children namely Edmd Crowe who is a broad
beyond seas and his five daughters, Susan wife of Robert Colvin, Margt wife
of Hugh Callow, Cath wife of James Peel who is also abroad and Elizabeth
wife of Hugh Cannell who is also abroad all of whom are decreed joint
administrators of all and singular the goods, rights, credits, chattels, and
effects of the said deceased, and the petitioner their mother is sworn well
and truly to administer the same according to law, to pay all just debts and
funeral expenses of the deceased so far forth as the goods will extend and
the law bind her and to return to the Episcopal Registry a full true and
perfect inventory of the same with an accurate account of her acts and
proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawfully required and to these
ends she has given pledges namely James Gale of Ramsey and Robert Colvin of
Lezayre who have entered into the usual bond in presence of the court.

Whereas the Eccl Court of this Diocese hath this day granted administration
of all and singular the goods and effects of Edmund Crowe late of Aust
deceased, to Elizabeth Crowe his widow in trust for her next of kin.
And Whereas James Gale of Ramsey in the parish of Maughold and Robert Colvin
of Aust in the parish of Lezayre have agreed to become pledges for the said
Elizth Crowe for the due administration of the said Estate according to law.
Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, the said James Gale and
Robt Colvin hereby bind and oblige ourselves and our executors and
Administrators, as pledges for the said Elizth Crowe for the due and
faithful administration of the goods, and effects of the said deceased
according to law.  And in her default we bind ourselves and our Executors
and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said
Estate or the administration thereof.
Witness our subscriptions this 14th day of Jan 1858.
