[Note: There may be minor changess in pagination] To His Worship Thomas Arthur Corlett Esquire Vicar General The humble petition of Philip August . of the Town of Fancy Dealer Sheweth that Martha Richardson of the Town of Douglas Widow departed this life intestate leaving Edward Richardson her son of the age of Three years her That your petitioner is a creditor of the Martha Richardson and is desirable that admin of her Estate should be forthwith granted. Therefore your Petitioner humbly prays a hearing thereof and that your Worship may be pleased to appoint John Moore of or any other pt. and proper person may be appointed Admin of the estate of the said Martha Richardson and Petr. prays. . Harris for Petr. Ordered that this petition do come and be heard at an Ecclesiastical Court to be holden at Douglas on Friday next whereof all proper parties are to have due notice. Given this 6 day of Feby 1860 T.A. Corlett At an Eccl. Court held in Douglas the 10th Feby 1860 In hearing this Petition in presence of the parties or their Advocates and it appearing that Martha Richardson of the Town of Douglas departed this life Intestate leaving Edward Richardson her son & only child who is therefore decreed sole administrator of all and singular Goods, Rights Credits Chattels and Effects of the sd decd and John Moore is sworn in Christ(?) well and truly to administer the decd Estate according to Law to pay all just debts and funeral expenses of the deceased so far forth as her goods will extend and the Law Bind to return a true and faithful Inventory thereof with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the to the Episcopal Registry when thereunto lawfully required and to these ends he has given pledges namely T. Harris Esq. and John Sayle who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in presence of the Court. Decutum Est. T.A. Corlett WHEREAS the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted administration of all and singular the Goods and effects of Martha Richardson deceased, to John Moore. AND WHEREAS T. Harris, Esq. of Douglas in the Parish of Braddan and John Sayles of Douglas in the Parish of Braddan have agreed to become pledges for the said John Moore for the administration of the said Estate according to Law. Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, the said T. Harris, Esq. and John Sayles hereby bind and oblige ourselves and Executors and Administrators, as pledges for the said John Moore for the due and faithful administration of the goods and effects of the said deceased according to law. And in default we bind ourselves and our Executors and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested i n the said Estate, or the Administration thereof.
