To His Worship Vicar General Corlett
the humble Petition of Hugh Gill
creditor of Ann Dobbins of the Parish
of Lezayre deceased.
 
That some time ago Ann Dobbins of
the Parish of Lezayre departed this
life intestate and indebted to your
Petitioner.
 
That no representation has been
set up to the estate of the said Ann
Dobbins so as to enable your Petitioner
to establish his claim against the said 
Ann Dobbins late.
 
            Wherefore your Petitioner prays
            a hearing hereof and upon proof
            of the matter aforesaid your
            Worship may be pleased to appoint
            and swear some fit and proper
            person as administrator of the Estate
            of the said Ann Dobbins – 
            and your Petitioner will ever pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be 
heard at an Ecclesiastical Court to be holden
at Ramsey on Friday the 17th Feby. 1860 at
A.M. whereof all proper parties and persons
are to have due notice.

At an Eccl. Court held in Ramsey the
17th Feby. 1860.
 
Upon hearing the petition in the presence of the
parties or their advocates and it appearing that
Ann Dobbins departed this life Intestate leaving
Richard Dobbins her son a minor who is off this
Isle her only next of kin her surviving who is therefore
decreed sole administrator of all and singular
the Goods Rights Credits Chattels and effects of the sd.
decd. and John Dawson is sworn in trust well and
truly to administer the Estate and effects of the sd. decd.
according to Law to pay all just debts and funeral
expenses of the decd. as far forth as her goods will 
extend and the law bind him, to return a true and
faithful Inventory thereof with an accurate 
account if his acts and proceedings in the
premises to the Episcopal Registry when thereunto
lawfully required and to these ends he has given
pledges namely Hugh Gill and Thomas Cowley
who have entered into and executed the usual
Bond in presence of the Court.

WHEREAS the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted administration of all and
singular the Goods & effects of Ann Dobbins
deceased to John Dawson.
 
AND WHEREAS Hugh Gill of ……
in the Parish of Lezayre and Thos. Cowley
of Ramsey in the Parish of Maughold have agreed
to become pledges for the said John Dawson for the administration
of the said Estate according to law.
 
Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, H. Gill
and Thos. Cowley hereby bind and oblige 
ourselves and our Executors and Administrators, as pledges for the said John Dawson
for the due and faithful administration of the goods and
effects of the said deceased according to law.  And in …… default we bind ourselves and our Executors
and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate, or the Administration thereof.
Witness our subscriptions this 17th day of Feby. 1860.
