Malew To His Worship Thomas Arthur Corlett Esquire Vicar General of the Isle The humble Petition of Jane Crebbin Widow, Margaret Crebbin and Catherine Qualtrough of the Parish of Malew and of Thomas Bell and Esther his wife of the Parish of Rushen. Sheweth that your petitioner Jane is the widow and your petitioners Margaret Crebbin Catherine Qualtrough and Esther Bell and William Crebbin of the said Parish of Rushen are the children and the only next of kin of William Crebbin deceased who departed this life many years ago intestate. That shortly after the decease of the said William Crebbin Thomas Qualtrough of the said Parish of Rushen was appointed administrator of the estate of the said William Crebbin. That on the ninth of October 1858 the said Thomas Qualtrough departed this life and it is necessary to have an Administrator of the Estate and Effects of the said William Crebbin deceased appointed in form of law. Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that your Worship may be pleased to appoint your Petr. Catherine Qualtrough or some other fit and proper person Administrator of the said William Crebbin and petr. will pray. _______. Clucas for Petr. Ordered that this Petition do come on to be heard at an Ecclesiastical Court to be holden at Castle Rushen on Friday next whereof of all proper parties to have notice. Given this 6th March 1860 T.A. Corlett At an Eccl. Court held in Castletown the 9th March 1860. Upon hearing this Petition in presence of the parties or their advocates and it appearing that William Crebbin departed this life Intestate many years ago whereupon administration of the Estate of the sd. William Crebbin deceased was granted to Thomas Qualtrough of the Parish of Rushen and the sd. Thomas Qualtrough having lately departed this life without having fully administered the personal Estate and effects of the said William Crebbin it is therefore become necessary that administration _________ now of the Estate and Effects of the sd. William Crebbin should be granted to some fit and proper persons and the Petitioner Thomas Bell being recommended he is therefore sworn well and truly to administer the unadministered part of the sd. Estate of the sd. William Crebbin dec'd. according to Law, to return a true and faithful Inventory thereof with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the premises to the Episcopal Registry when thereunto lawfully required and to these ends he has given pledges namely Catherine Qualtrough and William Corlett who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in presence of the Court. Decretum Est. T.A. Corlett WHEREAS the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted administration of all and singular the Goods and effects of William Crebbin deceased, to Thomas Bell. AND WHEREAS C. Qualtrough of ________ in the Parish of Malew and William Corlett of _________ in the Parish of Malew have agreed to become pledges for the said Thos. Bell for the due administration of the said Estate according to Law. Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, the said C. Qualtrough and William Corlett hereby bind and oblige ourselves and our Executors and Administrators, as pledges for the said Thos. Bell for the due and faithful administration of the goods and effects of the said deceased according to law. And in his default we bind ourselves and our Executors and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate, or the Administration thereof.
