            Know all Men by these presents that John Martin and Margaret his
            wife do hereby acknowledge to have received from Thomas Kneen [Exor] of Thomas
            Kneen the within named Testator the sum of Four pounds [annual] of Legacy
            left to the said Margaret Kneen under the written [will] and William Kneale and 
            Jane his wife do hereby acknowledge to have received from the said Thomas
            Kneen the said Testator the like sum of four pounds *…….* of Legacy left to
            the said Jane Kneale under the written [will] and the said John Martin
            and Margaret his wife and the said (crossed out) William Kneale and
            Jane his wife do hereby [decree] that the said Legacies *…..* [by]

            Ann Corlett his wife the Legatee named in the written will
            of Thomas Kneen do hereby acknowledge to have received [from]
            Thomas Kneen the Executor thereof the sum of four pounds
            [annual] of Legacy left to the said Ann Corlett by the 
            said [will] and Thomas Cannell the husband of Elizabeth
            Cannell [within] Legatee named in the said [will] doth
            acknowledge to have received from the said Thomas Kneen
            the said ]Exor] of the said [will] the like sum of four pounds
            [annual] of legacy left to the said Elizabeth Cannell
            by the said will and the said Thomas Corlett and

Episcopal  I Thomas Kneen of the parish of Andreas
           being weak in body but of sound mind
           memory Judgement and Understanding
           do make publish and declare this my
           Last will and Testament in the follo –
           - wing manner viz.
          First I commend my Soul to God
           and my Body to decent Christian

2ndly     I leave and bequeath to my Daughter
             Wife of John Martin
          Margrett^the Sum of four pounds as Legacy
3rdly     I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Ann
          Wife of Thomas Corlett the Sum of four pounds

4thly     I leave and bequeath to my Daughter
          Jane Wife of William Kneale the Sum of four
          pounds as Legacy  _  _
5thly     I leave and bequeath to my Daughter
          Elizabeth Wife of Thomas Cannell the Sum
          of four pounds as Legacy
6thly     I leave and bequeath to my Daughter
          Catharine Wife of Edward Capstick the
          Sum of four pounds together together with my
          Eight day Clock)  as Legacy __ 
7thly     I leave and bequeath to my Brother Charles
          Kneen my Watch as Legacy
8thly     I leave and bequeath to my Wife Esther Kneen
          and to my Son Thomas Kneen all the rest and
          Remainder of all my monies Goods Chattles
          Credits and effects of Whatsoever Kind nature
          or description Share and Share alike whom
          I also nominate Constitute appoint and Ordain
          them to be Joint Executrix and [Executor] of
          this my last will and Testament be it
          further Understood that in Consideration
          of my Son Thomas Kneen becoming one 
          of my [Exors] and that he the Said Thomas 
          on account of the aforesaid Consideration
          is bound to pay the whole Amount of the
          before mentioned Legacies Stated in this
          Will but not to be paid to either of the
          parties until Two – Years after my Decease
          likewise my Son Thomas is to pay
          whatever Interest that becomes due upon
          my Lands Yearly and every Year during
          the time and Term of his mothers Natural
          life in Testimony Whereunto I subscribe
          or cause to be Subscribed my name and mark
          this the 21st day of June 1860  __  __

                            At a Chapter Court held in Ramsey
                            On the 12th day of October 1860 __
    William Lace and William Teare the subscribing
    Witnesses to the foregoing paper writing _____
    purporting to be the Last Will and Testament
    of Thomas Kneen the Testator having made
    oath on the Holy Evangelists that the Testator
    when of sound mind duly signed and
    executed the same as and for his Last Will
    and Testament in their presence Esther Kneen
    and Thomas Kneen the Executrix and Executor
    therein named are therefore sworn well and truly
    to fulfil and execute the sd. Will according
    to Law, to pay all just Debts Legacies and
    Funeral expenses of the Testator as far forth
    as his Goods will extend and the Law bind
    them and to return a true and faithful __
    Inventory of the same with an accurate account
    of their acts and proceedings in the premises to
    the Episcopal Registry when thereunto lawfully
    required and to these ends they hath given pledges
    namely William Cleator and William Teare
    who have entered into and executed the __
    usual Bond in presence of the Court ___

WHEREAS the Ecclesiatical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted Probate of the Last
Will and Testament of Thomas Kneen
deceased, to Esther Kneen & Thomas Kneen 

AND WHEREAS William Cleator of [Ballanield]
in the Parish of Andreas and W. Teare
of [Ballacalluin] in the Parish of Andreas have [agreed]
to become pledges for the said Esther Kneen & Thomas Kneen for the due administration
of the said Estate according to Law.
Therefore know all men by these presents that we, the said W. Cleator
and W. Teare hereby bind and oblige
ourselves and our Executors and Administrators, as pledges for the said Esther Kneen & T. Kneen for the due and faithful administration of the goods
and effects of the said deceased according to law.  And in their default we bind ourselves and our [Executors] and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate, or the Administration thereof.
Witnes our subscriptions this __ 12th __ day of October 1860
