Maughold                       75.

          In the Name of God  Amen
          This is the Last will and testament of
          John Kerruish Junr. of the Ballaraugh
          Lonan Who is of a sound mind and
          memory at the making of the same
Item  1st I commit my soul to god who gave it
                                  Christian
          and my body to a deasent  ^  burial
          2ly I leave and bequeath to my son Robt. Henry
          the sum of four pounds
          3ly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Alice
          Jane the sum of two pounds
          4ly I leave and bequeath to my daughter
          Elenor the sum of two pounds
          5ly I leave and bequeath to my son John Thomas
          the sum of four pounds and two lamb sheep
6any person Claiming in this my Last will
          to receive the sum of six pence
7and Lastly I leave my beloved wife to be
whole and sole Executrix of all that I posess
moveable and Immoveable of whatever
Character goods or money as witness my
hand this the 25th Day of March 1862

                       At a Chapter Court held in Ramsey on the
                       23rd day of May 1862. __
John Wade and Robert Lace the subscribed witnesses to the
foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament
of John Kerruish Jnr. deceased having made Oath upon the Holy
Evangelists that said John Kerruish the Testator when of
sound and disposing mind memory and understanding duly
signed and executed the same as and for his last Will
and Testament in their presence __  Alice Kerruish Widow
the Relict the Executrix in said Will named is therefore
sworn well and truly to fulfil and execute the same and
to Administer all and singular the personal estate and effects
of the said deceased according to Law by paying the just
debts and funeral expenses of the deceased and the Legacies
contained in his Will so far forth as the same will thereto
extend and the law bind her And to return into the Archdeacon’s
Registry a full true and perfect Inventory of all and singular
the said estate and effects with an accurate account of her
Administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required 
And to these ends she hath given Pledges Namely John
Kerruish of the Parish of Lonan and Robert Lace of the
same parish who have entered into and executed the
usual Bond in the presence of the Court. ___

At an Ecclesiastical Court held at Ramsey on the 11. Day
of February 1881 __
The foregoing last Will and Testament of John Kerruish Junior late of
the Ballaragh in the parish of Lonan deceased who died many
Years ago and probate [therein] was granted to the widow Alice
Kerruish the Executrix named in the said Will in the 23 day of 
May 1862  And is this day proved in Court that
the said Alice Kerruish died in or about the 11 : day of October
1870Intestate and without having fully Administered the said
Estate and Effects of the Testator the said John Kerruish Junior
And there being now representation of his Estate and Effects
This Court hath Decreed that William Lace of the parish of 
Maughold [Administratn.] [de] [Biuis] ....               (rest of line unreadable)
said John Kerruish Junior and accordingly the said William Lace
is [Sum] administatn. De Buis ... [with] [no] ...[accordingly]
the said John Kerruish Junior deceased well and truly to [administer]
the ….. Estate of the said Testator left ....... in ...... of his
said will and according to Law by [paying] the .... and just debts
        ..... and ..... [expenses] of the Testator and No Legacies
[mentioned] in his said will ..... ...... as the [goods] and Effects will
..... [extend] ..... ..... ..... him and paying over any ....... ....
............ Estate and Effects not [disposed] of by the said
will ..... ....... .... legally written thereto and ........
shall ...... well and truly return unto the Diocean Registry
of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann a full true and
perfect Inventory of the said [personal] Estate and Effects with an
Accurate account of his Administration thereof when thereunto
lawfully required and to these Ends he hath given
pledges namely John [Christrit] of Ramsey in the parish
of Maughold and John Kelly of [Balla chrink] in the parish
of Lonan who have entered into ...... .......

     WHEREAS, the Ecclesiastical Court of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann 
hath this day granted probate of the last Will and Testament of John Kerruish Jnr.
late of Maughold decd. to Alice Kerruish Widow the Exex. named
And whereas John Kerruish of Balaragh 
in the parish of Lonan and Robert Lace 
of Ballachrink in the parish of Lonan
have agreed to become pledges for the due and faithful Administration of the said 
Estate by the said Alice Kerruish according to Law.

NOW, KNOW all Men by these Presents, that we, the said John 
Kerruish and Robert Lace
hereby bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and our Heirs, Executors 
and Administrators, firmly by these presents, as pledges for the said Alice Kerruish 
that She shall well and truly administer, all and singular, the personal Estate 
and Effects of the said deceased according to Law. And in her default we bind 
ourselves, and each of us, for the whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators 
to be answerable and responsible to the said Court, and to all parties interested 
in the said estate and effects, or the administration thereof in
the place and stead of the said Alice Kerruish ___

       Witness our subscriptions, this 23rd day of May in the Year of our Lord,
One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Two

The foregoing Bond and Obligation was duly signed and delivered,
and also acknowledged by the executing parties to be their proper
Act and Deed.
