EPISCOPAL WILL BRADDAN 1864 #32 FHL Film #0106465:

In the name of God Amen.  I John Cain being sick and weak in body but of
competent mind memory and understanding being anxious to acquit
 dissenters which might require after my decease relative to the
disposal of my worldly property do make and ordain this my last will and
testament in form and manner as follows vizt:
First and principally -  I commit my soul unto the hands of Almighty God
who gave it and my body recommend to the dirt from where it was taken
be interred in decent christian burial.
2nd - I leave and bequeath unto my eldest son John Isaac Nelson Cain my
estate commonly called and known by the name of the Willy Bane in east
Baldwin in the parish of Kirk Braddan to be possess by him when my
youngest son William Cesar Cain arrives at the age of twenty one years
but he is herein bound not to mortgage or sell any  part of the said
estate.
3rd - I leave and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane Cain all my
moveable goods and money.  Also I nominate constitute and appoint my
beloved wife Jane Cain and my brother William Cain executors of this my
last will and testament who shall pay all my lawful debts and it is my
wish that they may live together in peace and undisturbed as heretofore
debarring all other claimers with the sum of two shilling and six pence
each as legacy.  As witness my subscription or mark to my name this
26th day of Sep 1863         John Cain my mark
Signed and sealed in presence of us:  Thomas Kermeen and William Cain.
Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted
probate of the will of John Cain of Braddan decease to Jane Caine and
William Caine the executrix and executor named in the said will.
And whereas Robert Quiggin of Ballagarey In the parish of Bradden and
Hugh Corlett of Ballawillan in the parish of Braddan have agreed to
become pledges for the said Jane Caine for the due administration of the
said estate according to law.  Therefore know all men by these present,
that we, the said Robert Quiggin and Hugh Corlett hereby bind and oblige
ourselves and our executors and administors, as pledges for the said
Jane Caine and William Caine for the due and faithful administration of
the goods and effects of the said deceased according to law.  And in their
default we bind ourselves and our executor and administrators to be
answerable to all parties interested in the said estate or the
administration thereof.
Witness our subscriptions this Thirteenth day of May 1864 At a Chapter
