In the Name of God Amen. The twenty ????
day of March one thousand eight hundred
and sixty five.
I Ester Creer alia Cubbon of the parish
of Kirk Andreas being diseased and
weak in body, but of perfect mind and
memory, thanks be unto God: therefore calling
into mind the mortality of my body, knowing
that it is appointed unto all men once to die
do make and ordain this my last will and
testament; that is to say principally and first
of all, I give and recommend my soul into
the hands of Almighty God that gave it,
and my body I recommend to the earth, to be
buried, in decent Christian burial, at the
discretion of my executrix; nothing doubting,
but at the genral resurrection I shall receive
the same again by the Almighty power of God.
And in touching such worldly estate wherewith
it hath pleased God to bless me in this life
I give, demise and dispose of the same in the
following manner and form.
First I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter
Ester Kinnish formerly Creer the sum of three pounds
lawful money of England to be raised and levied
out of my estate, and paid to her by my executrix after my
decease.
Also I give and bequeath to my beloved
daughter Catherine Casement (formerly Creer)
the sum of three pounds lawful money of
England to be raised & levied out of my
estate and paid to her by my executrix
after my decease.
Also I give and bequeath to my beloved
daughter Mary McCormick (formerly Creer)
the sum of three pounds lawful money of
England to be raised & levied out of my
estate and paid to her by my
executrix after my decease.
Also I give and bequeath to my beloved
daughter Jane Creer whom I likewise
constitute, make and ordain my said executrix
of this my last will and testament all and
singular, (with the exception of House & land which is for my beloved son John Creer) all my estate, & all that I possess in this world,
by her freely to be possessed and enjoyed, And
I do hereby disallow, revoke, and disannul, all
and every other former testaments, wills, legacies
bequests and executors, by me in any way
before named, willed and bequeathed ratifying
and confirming this and no other to be my
last will and testament. In witness whereof
I have set my hand and seal the day
and year above written.
