In the Name of God Amen
I John Kewley of the Moaney in the parish of KK Lonan being weak in Body
but of a sound Mind and Memory do Make and ordain this my last will and
Testament
first I Commend my Soul to almighty God who gave it and my body to be
Buried after a Christian Manner and for my worldly goods I dispose of them
as follows
I leave and Bequeath for the Maintenance of my Two young Children William
and Elizabeth the yearly Sum of Sixteen pounds to be paid yearly and every
year until the youngest of them arrive at the age of Eighteen years to be
Received by my Executor in Trust hereafter to be mentioned out of the Rent
of my Estate Called the Moaney in said parish of Lonan
I leave unto my Two sons James and Thomas the Sum of nine pounds each which
Sums will also be paid out of the rent of Said Farm the first two years
after my Decease
I leave the amount of a promisory note possessed by John Kewley of Baldooin
to me for the Sum of thirtyfive pounds to educate my said Children and give
them a Trade and what remains of Said Sum they are to receive equally when
they Come to the age of twentyone years
I leave two pounds to my stepdaughter Isabella Caley
I leave a dwelling House situated in the Village of Laxey to my son Thomas
and my Daughter Elizabeth equally between them and their Respective Heirs
and Assigns for ever  said House joins the rent of Paul Redshaw on the
north the street on the east and the Rent Mrs. Wetheral on the South
I leave my said Daughter Elizabeth my Residuary Legatee of my household
furniture and the remainder of my Effects
I appoint my son Thomas Kewley my Executor in trust to whom I commit the
Care and Guardian of my young Children and I leave my estate called Moaney
to my son and Heir at Law John Kewley after the fore said annuities and
legacys are discharged and his Heirs and assigns Subject to a Bond and
Security of Forty pounds chargeable thereon
I revoke all other wills ratifying and confirming this an no other to be my
last will and testament as witness my name and mark this the 15 day of
March 1865
