This is the last will and testament of Thomas Corlett out-door officer
of the town of Ramsey Isle of Man made and published this tenth day of May
one thousand eight hundred and sixty five being of sound mind and memory at
the making and publishing hereof.
First I commit my soul to God and my body to a Christian Burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath unto my wife the capital sum of two
hundred pounds insured by me upon my life in the Customs Fund - directions
as required by the Rules of said Fund having been given by me
to the directors for that purpose.  I also leave unto my said wife
Elizabeth Corlett all the furniture, cash, and book debts together with
all notes or other documents belonging to me after payments of all my
just debts and funeral expenses and legacies as is herein after
mentioned.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath as legacy unto my several children as
follows viz Elizbeth Ann the sum of five shillings
Catherine Jane the sum of five shillings.
John James the sum of five shillings.
Eva Eliza the sum of five shillings.
Thomas Edward the sum of five shillings.
Emily Tertia the sum of five shilling.
Richard Radcliffe the sum of five shillings and in the event of any more
children being born after the making of this will I leave unto the same
the sum of five shillings each.
All the before mentioned legacies to be paid within two years after the
establishment of this will providing they have attained the age of
twenty one years.
Fourthly I appoint my wife Elizabeth Corlett my sole and only executrix
and she will pay all my just debts funeral expenses and legacies as
before mentioned.  This I declare to be my last will and testament, as
witness my name this the tenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and

At an Eccl Court holden at Ramsey on the 1st day of Jun 1866.  Upon hearing
this petition in presence of the parties or their advocates,
probate of the will of Thomas Corlett is granted to Elizabeth Corlett the
executrix therein named with pledges Hugh Cannell of Ramsey parish of
Maughold and Edward Gawne of Ramsey Maughold who have entered into and
executed the usual bond in presence of the court.
