In the Name of God Amen
I Thomas Kelly Blacksmith of Laxey in the parish of Lonan Calling to mind
the uncertainty of this transitory Life and the Certainty of Death do make
and ordain this my last will and Testament
first of all I commend my soul to Almighty God who Gave it and my Body to
be buried after a Christian manner
Item   I Leave and bequeath unto my Sister Mary the wife of Richard Noel
all and singular a small field or Garden Called and known by the name of
Garey ne howin to be possessed by them the Said Richard Noel and Mary his
Wife at my Decease and their Heirs and assigns for ever   Said plot is
situated in Laxey and adjoins the Common on the north and east the road
leading to the Beach on the southwest and Mr Kerruish's property on the
northwest   they the said Richard Noel and Mary paying the Lord's rent and
all other Taxes as may be levied thereon
Item   I leave all the rest of my property in Houses gardens and lands
situated in and near Laxey unto my two sisters Margaret and Isabella Kelly
for and during their natural life time and at the Death of the Survivor of
them I leave all the property that had been in the possession of the said
Margaret and Isabella Kelly unto my Brother John Kelly of Whitehaven and
his Heirs subject to the following Legacys that at such time as he the Said
John Kelly or his Heirs Comes to possess and enjoy said Houses Gardens and
Lands as aforesaid   he the said John Kelly or his Heirs shall pay unto my
nephews and nieces namely John Kelly son of my late Brother Patrick Kelly
George and John Noel and Mary Ann Poland Twenty pounds Currency each
Item   I leave Two pounds ten shillings for the use of the Laxey Primitive
Me[thodist] Chapel either for repairing the present one of building a new one
Lastly   I nominate and appoint my beloved Sister Margaret Kelly my whole
and S[ole] Executrix of all my goods and Chattels monies Houses furniture
Credits and effects of what kind or denomination soever revoking all other
wills ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and
Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name this the 9 th
day of April 1866.
