83 Douglas This is the last will and Testament of me Esther Lawson of Drinkwater Street in the town of Douglas spinster ------------- I give devise and bequeath unto Elizabeth Callister, wife of William Callister, of Hope Street, in the town of Douglas, Tailor------- Jane Cowley wife of John Cowley, of the town of Peel Customs Officer and James Lawson of Ballasalla, Mariner - the whole of my real and personal estate of whatever name nature or description and wheresover situate, except as hereinafter mentioned to hold the same, save as aforesaid unto the same Elizabeth Callister, Jane Cowley and James Lawson and their respective executors and administrators, in equal proportions – and it is hereby declared that the proportions to which the said Elizabeth Callister and Jane Cowley shall be respectively entitled as aforesaid shall not be in anywise liable for the debts nor subject to the control of their respective husbands and that receipts alone shall be a sufficient discharge to my executor hereinafter named I give and bequeath the whole of my weaving apparel to the children of the said William Callister and John Cowley in equal proportions---------- I give and bequeath my watch to John Callister, son of the said William Callister------------ I give and bequeath to Isabella Cowley of Barrack Street in the said town of Douglas, spinster, a pair of blankets and a cotton quilt and I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint the said William Callister sole executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofor made In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this twenty sixth day of April, one thousand, eight hundred and sixty seven.
