The last will and testament of Mrs Margaret Craine of Squeen in the
parish of Ballaugh who from due consideration of the uncertainty of this
transitory life make declare and publish this my last will and
testament in manner following.
First I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial.
I leave and bequeath unto my son Thomas Craine all and singular my
whole right, title and interest of, in and unto a certain parcel of land
together with the buildings thereon erected called and commonly known
by the name of "Grimshaw's Croft" which is of the quarterland of Squeen
in the parish of Ballaugh aforesaid on the following condition and not
otherwise, That is to say, that my said son Thomas his heirs or assigns
shall and will pay as consideration for the aforesaid lands and premises
the full and first sum of one hundred and thirty pounds sterling, which
said sum is to be paid as hereinafter mentioned, that is to say, that my
said son Thomas his heirs or assigns shall and will within the expiration
of one year after my decease pay unto my daughter Eleanor Corlett the sum
of one hundred pounds sterling.  And further that my said son Thomas his
heirs or assigns shall and will pay the remaining thirty
pounds unto my daughter Eliza Craine within the expiration of the said term,
but in case my said son Thomas his heirs or assigns refuse to pay the
aforesaid sum or sums as before mentioned then and in that case I do hereby
leave and bequeath unto my three daughters Margaret and Anne and Eliza
Craine all and singular the whole of my before mentioned lands and premises
of the quarterland of Squeen situate in the parish of
Ballaugh aforesaid together with the buildings thereon  erected on condition
as aforesaid that they pay the said sum or sums of money as before stated
and set forth.  To have and to hold unto them the said Margaret, Anne, and
Eliza Craine their heirs and assigns together with
all its liberties and appurtenances commencing possession thereof from and
after the expiration of one year after my decease or otherwise at the time
when my son Thomas his heirs or assigns refuse to pay the
aforesaid sum or sums of one hundred and thirty pounds as before mentioned
absolutely and forever.
I further leave and bequeath unto my said daughter Eliza the sum of fity
pounds sterling legacy.
I leave and bequeath unto my son John Craine the sum of One hundred pounds
sterling, feather bed and bedding as legacy.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Anne Craine the sum of thirty pounds
sterling as legacy.
I leave and bequeath unto my three  daughters namely Margaret, Anne,
and Eliza share and share alike the whole of the remainder of my money, that
is to say the cash that will be in the house at the time of my deceased all
the monies out on interest whether on bond and securities, mortgages notes,
or otherwise and also all outstanding debts legacies funeral expences to be
fully paid and satisfied out of the  aforesaid
money before it is divided between my said daughters as before stated,
as legacy.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my aforesaid daughters Anne
and Eliza Craine whole and sole executrix's and residuary legatee of all
the rest and remainder of my goods chattels and effects of every description
moveable and immoveable whatsoever and also the good will
of the lease which I hold from my said son Thomas.  In  testimony
whereof I hereunto subscribe my name as and for my last will and testament
this the twenty second day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty six.

Thomas Mylechraine of Ballaugh administered will of Margaret Craine of
Squeen.
Thomas Green of Ballacurrey Ballaugh and John Corlett of Bollagh beg of
Ballaugh pledges of the will.

Thomas Green and Margaret his wife rec'd legacy 27 Nov 1874.
Thomas Mylechrane made executor in trust for Ann Craine and Eliza
Craine  14 Oct 1869
