The humble petition of Edward Pereira late of Hong King but now of the City
of London Esquire.
Sheweth:
That Thomas Harrison Wilson late of Hong Kong Master Mariner early in
the month of October one thousand eight hundred and fifty four departed this
life having first duly made and published his last will and
testament whereof he appointed your petitioner and Thomas Coates
Leslie the executors.
That probate of the said will was granted by the Supreme Court of Hong Kong
to your petitioner and to the said Thomas Coates Leslie who sometimes since
departed this life leaving your petitioner surviving executor of the said
will.
That there are certain monies in the Isle of Man to be got in and
distributed in terms of the said will which makes it necessary that the
said will should be proved in the said Isle and Petitioner having declined
to prove the same in the Isle of Man desires that Administration with
the will annexed of the estate of the said Thomas Harrison Wilson may
be granted to Mary Bluett of the town of Douglas widow having been requested
so to do by those interested under the will.
Wherefore petitioner humbly prays a hearing hereof and that your Worhip may
be pleased to grant administration with the will annexed of the
estate of the said Thomas Harrison Wilson in this Isle to the said Mary
Bluett and petitioner will every pray.

At a Special Eccl Court held at Douglas on the 11th day of July 1870.
Mary Bluett - sister -
This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Harrison Wilson Master
Mariner and commander of the Schooner "Nymph" now lying in the port of
Victoria in the Colony of Hong Kong.
First I direct my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be
fully paid and satisfied.
I give and bequeath unto my executors hereinafter named all my monies
security for money goods chattels effects and personal estate whatsoever and
wheresoever  Upon Trust to sell and convert into money such part thereof as
shall not consist of money and to stand possessed thereof and all principal
monies upon Trust to pay transfer and divide
the same unto and equally between all and every my sister Mary Bluett
the wife of John Courtney Bluett, Chief Magistrate of the town of
Douglas in the Isle of Man.  Margaret Thomson the wife of Thomas
Richard Heywood Thomson Surgeon in the Royal Navy now practising in
Liverpool, and Elizabeth Bishop wife of the Reverend George Bishop of
the parish of Wolvey in the County of Warick Clark the share of  such my
said sisters as shall die in my life time leaving a child or children who
shall survive to go to and be paid to such child or children equally.  I
nominate and appoint Edward Pereira a partner in the firm of Messieurs Dent
and Company Merchants in taking and Thomas Coates Leslie of the same firm
Esquire joint executors and trustees of this my will and  I declare that the
receipts of my executors shall effectually discharge any person paying my
money under this my will and that they shall not be answerable for any loss
misapplication or nonapplication of any monies
and that they may reimburse themselves all costs and expenses in
relation to the trusts of this my will.  And lastly revoking all former
wills I declare this to be my last will and testament.
In witness where I have to this my last will and testament written on
this one sheet of paper set my  hand this twentieth day of July in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four.
