64     Braddan/Douglas 1870
This is the last will and testament of me Anthony Dickinson of the
parade in the town of Douglas Ship Carpenter being of sound mind
memory and understanding at the making hereof.  I give and bequeath
unto my son Joseph Dickinson the sum of one pound.
I give devise and bequeath unto my executor hereafter named his heirs
executors administrators all and singular a certain dwelling house and
premises situate in Drumgold Street in the town of Douglas purchased by me
from John Moore Coroner of Middle Sheading by Deed of Sale dated the 6th day
of June 1859 together with the whole of my personal estate of way nature and
description and wheresoever situated upon trust as soon as conveniently may
be after my decease to sell and dispose of by Public Auction the said
dwelling house and premises together with such part of my personal estate as
shall not consist of money and  by and out of the moneys to arise from the
sale of such dwelling house and premises and from the sale of such of my
personal estate as shall not consist of
money and out of all sums of money of which I shall be possessed at my death
to pay all my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the legacy
hereinbefore bequeathed together with the expenses attendant the said sale
and with respect to the balance or residue of such moneys upon further trust
to invest the same in his name as executor hereof upon
good and sufficient security with power to vary the same at his
desceration and the annual interest arising there from to  pay over the same
as the  same may be payable unto my three daughters Margaret Dickenson, Mary
Dickinson, and Hannah Dickinson share and share alike
until each respectively attain the age of twenty one years provided
nevertheless that so soon as each of my said daughters attain the age of
twenty one years then in further trust to pay to such daughter the one third
part of the principal moneys so invested for her own sole and separate use
free from the control liabilities debts and engagements of any husband she
may have and without the power of anticipation and her receipt for the same
shall notwithstanding her coverture be a sufficient discharge to my executor
and I do hereby declare that if any of my said daughters die before
attaining the said age leaving children, then and in that case, the share of
each daughter shall be paid to her children but in default of children then
upon trust for my surviving daughters or daughters as hereinbefore
expressed.
I nominate constitute and appoint Henry Dickinson of the said  town of
Douglas  Draper executor of this my will and revoking all other testamentary
dispositions by me at any time heretofore made do declare this only to be my
last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this the twenty eighth
day of April one thousand eight hundred and sixty nine. 1869. Anthony

Whereas the Eccl Court of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Man hath this
day granted probate of the will of Anthony Dickinson late of Braddan
deceased Henry Dickinson the executor and whereas John Dickinson of Douglas
in the parish of Braddan and Richard Dickinson of Douglas in the parish of
Braddan have agreed to become pledges for the due and faithful
administration of the said estate by the said Henry Dickinson according
to Law.
Now, Know all Men by These Presents, that we, the said John Dickinson
and Richard Dickinson hereby bind and oblige ourselves, jointly and
severally, and our Heirs, Executors, and administrators, firmly by these
presents, as pledges for the said Henry Dickinson that he shall well and
truly administer, all and singular, the personal Estate and Effects of the
said decease according to Law.  And in his default, we bind ourselves,
and each of us, for the whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, to
be answerable and responsible to the said Court to all parties interested
in the said Estate and effects or the Admnistration thereof in the place and
stead of the said Henry Dickinson.
Witness our subcription this 20th day of June in the Year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and seventy.
