51       Ballaugh 1870 
This is declared to be the last will and testament of us Patrick Callister
of Cashtall Lough in the parish of Jurby and Alice Callister my wife
jointly made this the 20th day of March 1860, being of sound mind and memory
at the making declaring and publishing hereof.
We commend our souls to God and our bodies to Christian burial.
We leave and bequeath the either to the other who may be the survivor of us
the whole use benefit and enjoyment of all and singular that and those lands
and premises to us belonging part of "Keroone Grawein" in the
parish of Ballaugh and also that parcel of intack in the parish part of
Close E Varley and also the use benefit and enjoyment of all and the
whole of our personal estate goods and effects for and during the life
time of such survivor.
We give leave and devise to our daughter Elizabeth Dorothy Callister all
and singular the said lands and premises as well quarterland as intack
with all houses rights and appurtenances to the same belonging to be
possessed by her at and upon our decease.  To have and to hold unto her and
her heirs and assigns forever.  And we nominate constitute and appoint our
said daughter Elizabeth Dorothy Callister executrix of this
our joint last will and testament and residuary legatee of all our goods
chattels and effects of what kind or nature soever.  In witness whereof
we subscribe our names hereto as and for our joint will this day of
October 1860.    Patrick Callister and Alice Callister.

Elizabeth Dorothy Callister spinster daughter of the deceased and executrix
named in the will is therefore sworn well and truly to fulfil
and execute the said will and to administer all and singular the personal
estate and effects of the said deceased according to law by paying the just
debts and funeral expenses of the decease and the legacies
contained in the will so far forth as his estate and effects will thereto
extend and the law bind her and to return into the Archdeacon Registry of
the Isle of Man a full true and perfect inventory of all and singular the
said estate and effects with an accurate account of her administration
thereof when thereunto lawfully required.  And to these  ends she hath given
pledges namely Thomas Callister of Castall Lough(Castle Lake) in
the parish of Ballaugh and Daniel Gawne of Cronk beg in the parish of
Andreas who have entered into and executed the usual bond in the presence of
the court.
