In the name of God Amen. I, ROBERT KELLY of BALLADHOO in the 
PARISH OF LONAN, do hereby make this my last Will and 
Testament in way and manner following viz:
I leave devise and bequeath unto my Son, RICHARD CHARLES, and 
unto my Son, JAMES FREDERICK, and unto  my son, ROBERT GEORGE 
KELLY, and unto my Daughter, ELIZABETH MARGARET, and unto my 
Daughter, ANN JANE, and unto my daughter, ELIZA CATHERINE 
KELLY, the sum of TWO SHILLINGS AND SIX PENCE each as legacy.
I leave, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife, ANN KELLY, all 
the rest and remainder of my goods, monies, clothes and effects 
of whatsoever kind, nature or description soever and wheresoever 
and I do hereby appoint and ordain my said wife, ANN KELLY, 
executrix and residuary legatee of this my last Will and Testament in 
witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name or mark this 
TWENTY FIFTH DAY OF JUNE, ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND 
SEVENTY,  JUNE 25 1870.

[At a] Chapter Court held in DOUGLAS on the 30th day of SEPTEMBER 
1870

Diocese of Sodor and Mann:	THOMAS LEWIN and WILLIAM 
COJEEN, the subscribing Witnesses to the Execution of the foregoing 
paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of  
ROBERT KELLY of BALLADHOO in the Parish of Lonan, deceased, 
having made oath with authority Evangelists that after the said paper 
writing had been read over to the said, ROBERT KELLY, in their 
presence and when he was of sound mind, memory and 
understanding, he duly executed the same by putting his cross mark 
thereto and as and for his last Will and Testament in their presence 
and that they at this same time was in his presence and in the 
presence of each other subscribed the same in attestation thereof, 
ANN KELLY, the widow and Relief of the Testator and the Executrix 
named in his said Will is therefore sworn well and truly to fulfil and 
execute the said Will and to administer all and singular the deceased 
Estate and Effects of the said deceased according to Law by paying 
the just debts and funeral expenses of the deceased and the 
Legacies contained in his Will so far forth as his Estate and Effects 
will thereto extend and the Law bind him and to return to the 
Episcopal Registry of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann a full 
true and specified inventory of all and Singular the Personal Estate 
and Effects of the said deceased with an accurate account of his 
administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required and to 
these ends she hath given pledges namely WILLIAM COLLISTER of 
LAXEY in the Parish of Lonan and WILLIAM COJEEN of BALLARRAGH 
in the Parish who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in 
the presence of the Court.
