Ramsey 1871 4 The humble petition of Christian Corlett of the town of Ramsey widow. Sheweth: That your petitioner's husband James Corlett of Sulby Cottage Ramsey departed this life on the 19th day of January last past intestate. That it has become necessary that administration to the estate of the said deceadent should be granted to some fit and proper person or persons. That the next of kin of the said James Corlett are his widow Christian Corlett your petitioner and his children Christian Corlett, John Corlett and Eleanor Jane Corlett the last two being minors. Wherefore your petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your Worship may be pleased to grant administration to the estate of the said James Corlett deceased to petitioner or to some other fit and proper person and she will pray. Lamothe advocate for pet. 24 Feb 1871 Christian Corlett sworn administrator of will with pledges William Corlett of Ramsey parish of Maughold and Thomas Frederick Kneale of Aust Lezayre 1892 Ramsey 39 The humble petition of Thomas Kneen of the town of Douglas Advocate and Eleanor Jane Kneen his wife and Thomas Kayll of Sulby Cottage in the town of Ramsey and Christian Kayll his wife. Sheweth: James Corlett late or Sulby Cottage aforesaid but now deceased departed this life on the 19th day of January 1871 intestate. Letters of Administration of his estate and effects were at a court holden at Ramsey on the 24th day of Feb 1871 granted to Christian Corlett widow of the said James Corlett. The said Christian Corlett departed this life on the 20th day of March 1892 without having fully administered the said estate. Your petitioners are desirous that administration de bonis non of the estate and effects of the said James Corlett should be granted to your petitioner Thomas Kneen or to some other fit and proper person. Wherefore petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your Honor may be pleased to grant administration de bonis non of the said estate and effects unto your petitioner Thomas Kneen or to some other fit and proper person and they will pray. C.B. Nelson for petitioner At a Court holden at Ramsey on the 3rd day of June 1892. Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the parties or their advocates and it appearing that administration of this personal estate and effects of James Corlett late of Sulby Cottage in the parish of Lezayre deceased who died on the 19th day of January 1871 intestate was granted at an Eccl Court held on the 24th day of Feb 1871 to Christian Corlett of Sulby Cottage aforesaid widow the relict of the deceased who has since departed this life without having fully administered the same. This court hath decreed Thomas Kneen of the town of Douglas Esquire Advocate a son in law of the deceased administrator de bonis non of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said James Corlett deceased and accordingly he is sworn well and truly to administer the said estate and effects of the said James Corlett deceased so left un-administered by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said un-adminisered estate and effects will extend and the law bind him and distributing the residue thereof according to law and to return to the proper registry a full true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said un-administered personal estate with an accurate account of this administration when thereunto lawfully required.
