I Jane Joughin (widow) of the parish of Jurby do make the following as
and for my last will and testament hereby revoking all other will or
wills by me heretofore made.
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to a decent
Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my son Andrew Joughin the sum of one pound
as legacy.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Jane (now Jane McGhie) the sum
of five pounds as legacy to be pai paid out of my real estate of houses and
lands situate in the parish of Jurby commonly called Killey's Lands.
Fourthly I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Frances Quayle the
sum of five pounds as legacy with the whole of the parlour furniture the
aforesaid five pounds also to be paid out of my real estate of houses and
lands situate in the parish of Jurby.
Fifty I leave and bequeath to my son John Thomas Joughin the whole of
my real estate of houses and lands to me belonging situated in the parish of
Jurby (called Killey's Lands) and to his heirs and assigns from and
after the day of my decease forever meaning and intending hereby the whole
of my estate of houses and lands to me belonging situate in the parish of
Jurby whither the same be intack lands or quarterlands.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my aforesaid son John Thomas
Joughin sole and whole executor of this my last will and testament and
residuary legatee of all the rest of my property goods chattels and effects
of whatever kind nature or description Real and Personal.
In witness whereof I hereto subscribe my name this the fourth day of
February in the year of our lord 1875.
