Ramsey 1877 #18 The humble petition of William Crennell and William Clague trustees of the real and personal estate of Daniel Joughin late of Ramsey deceased and of Annie Joughin widow of said Danl Joughin deceased. Sheweth: That by Deed of Sale in trust bearing date the 14th day of Sept 1874 the said Daniel Joughin sold and conveyed to petitioners the said trustees the whole of his real and personal estate upon the trust and for the purposes therein --------- of and concerning the same, That the said Daniel Joughin died on or about the 1st day of Oct 1875 without revoking or baring the said Deed and without making any other or further disposition of his affairs either by will or otherwise. That petitioners (the said trustees) proceeded and in their capacity of trustees possessed themselves of the whole of the real and personal estate within this island and dealt with the same as directed by the said trust Deed but the said Daniel Joughin was at the time of his deceased possessed of certain personal estate to wit certain shares in public companies and in vessels in England which are set out in a schedule hereto annexed and petitioners find difficulty in dealing with these portions of the estate without administration being granted in respect thereof. That the several companies and the several persons interested in such vessels are prepared to recognize and act upon Letters of Administration granted by the courts of this Diocese. That under the circumstances petitioners are desirous that limited Administration confined as to its scope and effect to the matters of things set forth in the schedule hereto annexed should be granted to some fit and proper person and petitioners to propose William Shimmin of Ramsey Draper as fit and proper person to be so appointed. Wherefore petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your Worship may be pleased to grant Letters of Administration limited to the matters aforesaid to the said William Shimmin or some other fit and proper person and they will pray. Pledges William Clague and William Crennell Ramsey 1898 72 The humble petition of Thomas Cowley of the town of Ramsey Merchant Sheweth: That Daniel Joughin of Ramsey Bank Agent departed this life on the first day of October 1875 having first duly made and executed a deed of sale in trust along with his wife Annie Joughin whereby he conveyed the whole of his estates real and personal to William Clague and William Crennell both of Ramsey upon the trust and for the purposes in such deed mentioned and bearing date the 14th day of September 1874. That at an Ecclesiastical Court at Ramsey the 13th day of April 1877 limited administration of the estate of the said Daniel Joughin was granted to William Shimmin of the said town of Ramsey for the purpose of realizing certain portions of the personal estate of the said Daniel Joughin as set forth in such administration That at an Eccl Court held at Ramsey the 1st day of May 1884 on the petition of the said Anne Joughin widow of the said Daniel Joughin Letters of Adminstration de bonis non of the unadministered estate of the said Daniel Joughin was granted to the said William Clague and William Crennell the said William Shimmin having realized all the assets referred to in the limited Administration of the 13th day of April 1877. That the said William Clague and William Crennell both departed this life without having fully administered the estate and effects of the said Daniel Joughin and it is necessary that a further grant of administration of the unadministered estate of the said Daniel Joughin be made to petitioner or some other fit and proper person. Wherefore petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that your Honor may be pleased to grant administration of that portion of the estate of the said Daniel Joughin left unadministered by the said William Clague and William Crennell to your petitioner or some other fit and proper person and your petitioner will ever pray Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard before me at a court to be holden at Ramsey on Monday the 24 day of January 1898 whereof all proper persons and parties are to have due notice.
