In the name of God Amen
I Ann Skillicorn of the parish of Lonan widow being in declining years but
of sound disposing mind and memory, do hereby make and ordain this my last
will and testament
First I commit my Soul into the hands of almighty God who gave it and I
recommend my Body to the Earth by a decent christian burial according to
the discretion of my Executor and as to my worldly goods and effects I
dispose of in the following manner
I leave to my son John the sum of two shillings and six pence
I leave to my son James the sum of two shillings and six pence
I leave to my daughter Mary Ann wife of John James Cowin the sum of two
shillings and six pence
I leave my wearing clothes to my granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Cowin
I leave the property belonging to me unto which I have a right by the will
of my late husband Charles Skillicorn namely a house and garden with all
appurtenance unto same belonging unto my son in law James Skillicorn and to
his heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever said property being
a part of the Quarterland of Ballaglass in the parish of Lonan bounded on
the South by the road leading to BallaKey on the west by the property of
Joseph Craine on the north and east by the property of Thomas Cowin
I leave the sum of six pence each unto all persons who may lawfully have a
claim in this my last will and testament
Lastly I appoint and nominate my son in law the before mentioned James
Skillicorn to be whole and sole Executor and residuary legatee to this my
last will and Testament
And I do hereby revoke and disannull all wills hereto fore made by me
declaring this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have
herunto subscribed my name this the fourteenth day of May in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventyeight 1878
