No. 140		At a Chapter Court held at Douglas
Episcopal		on the 28th day of October 1880

It being proved that Archibald Ennett
of Douglas in the Parish of Braddan on or about the 17th
day of October 1880, departed this life Intestate,
this Court hat Decreed Annie Amelia Ennett of Douglas
his widow Administratix of All and Singular the personal Estate
and Effects of said deceased, and accordingly she is sworn well and truly to administer the
said Esstate and Effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so
far forth as the said Estate and Effects will extend and the Law bind her and distributing the 
residue thereof according to Law, and to return to the Diocesan Registry of this Isle a full,
true, and perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of her administration
thereof when thereunto lawfully required; and to these ends she hath given pledges,
namely, Henry Westly Bell of Douglas
in the Parish of Braddan and Edward Bell
of Douglas in the Parish of Braddan who have
entered into and executed the usual Bond in the presence of the court.

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day granted
Administrative [sic] of the 
Personal Estate and Effects of Archibald Ennett
late of Douglas in the Parish of Braddan
deceased, to Annie Amelia Ennett of Douglas aforesaid Widow.

And Whereas, Henry Wesley Bell of
Tynwald Street Douglas in the Parish of Braddan and
James Bell of Douglas in the Parish of
Braddan have agreed to become Pledges for the due and faithful
Administration of the said Estate by the said Annie Amelia Ennett.
					According to Law.
Now, know all Men by these presents, that we the said Henry Wesley Bell
and James Bellk hereby bind and oblige ourselves; jointly and
severally, and our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, firmly by these presents, as pledges for the said
Annie Amelia Ennett
that she shall well and truly administer, all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the said
deceased, according to Law.  And in her default we bind ourselves, and each of us, our Heirs,
Executors, and Administrators, to be answerable and responsible for the whole to the said Court, and to all 
parties interested in the said Estate and Effects, or the administration thereof, in the place and stead of
the said Annie Amelia Ennett.

Witness our Subscriptions, this 28th day of October in the Year of our Lord
One Thousand Eight Hundred and eighty.

						The humble Petition of Annie
						Amelia Ennett of the town
						of Douglas Administratrix
						of Archibald Ennett

Shewith	
		That the personal Estate
and effects of deceased that have come
to the hands of your Petitioner are
insufficient to discharge the claims proved
against his Estate.

		That your Petitioner has
appraised and sold the goods and effects
and returned to record a full and 
particular account of her acts and
proceedings in the said Estate.

		That it is necessary that
the said Estate should be distributed 
?  ?  on the respective claimants by 
the Registrar.

		Wherefore your Petitioner
		prays a hearing hesreof and
		that Your Worship may
		be pleased to order the said
		Registrar to make such
		distribution according to law
		and Petitioner prays that
		the costs of this application
		and distribution may be 
		paid in preference with
		such other and further
		relief as is meet and
		Petitioner will pray & ?

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at an Ecclesiastical
Court to be held at Douglas on Thursday the 22nd day of
December 1881, at 10 o'Clock in the forenoon.  Whereof all proper
parties and persons are to have due and lawful notice.

Given at Douglas this 20th day of December 1881.

on the 22nd day of December 1881.
Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the
parties or their Advocates (with notice 
to several of the Creditors of the Estate of the
said Archibald Ennett, deceased) and it
appearing that the petitioner had returned to the
Diocesan Registry of this diocese of Sodor and Mann
an inventory and an accout of her administration
of the personal estate of the said Archibald
Ennett deceased, and that the proceeds of said
Estate are insufficient and will not extend to
the full payment and satisfaction of the several
claims entered and proved against the said
Estate.  And upon consideration I had thereof,
and none appearing to object - It is hereby
ordered that the Diocesan Registrar do proceed
and ascertain the gross amount of the proceeds
of said estate above named and to deduct
therefrom the amounts of all preferable
Claims and orders and all lawful preferable fees
costs charges and expenses (and of this application)
incident to and attendant on the administration
and distribution of an Insolvent estate
and afterwards to proceed and make a fair
and just distribution __teably (equitably?) of such
balances of said estate as he may find to and
amongst the several and respective common
Claimants who have entered and proved their
claims against the said estate and
accordingly the same is so adjudged and
